Children ran from house to house. Bikes appeared in driveways. Friends gathered without appointments or schedules.

Our street in Dallas was only one long block, built on a tall hill. We were the third house up from the bottom, just a block from the elementary school. Families filled the neighborhood, and so did children. Our home was unusual—a contemporary home built in a style similar to Frank Lloyd Wright, filled with glass, garden spaces and color. But outside was where another kind of life happened. Children ran from house to house. Bikes appeared in driveways. Friends gathered without appointments or schedules. And when Dallas actually gave us enough snow? That hill became ours. Can you imagine the sleds coming down it? I loved it there. It did not love me!  Mold was my downfall.  I was prolific at painting there with my studio looking over the waters of a large catfish pond and Lake Cypress Springs. The mold pushed us back to DRY Dallas.  God guides our path today.  Memories are flooding in with the morning sun.  Proverbs 4:18    “ The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”  Today will be over 100 degrees but by Saturday the high is 79. Weather is the main talk these days. Remember I am in Texas.   We heard they may get snow in the Ohio River Valley. We are to see storms from the Pacific Hurricane coming our directio...
