Summer Night Reflections of Glory Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2020 Reflections of Glory  by Laurie Pace - Sold.  Visit Ellepace.com to see available artwork.   It was a rainy summer in 2007.  The humidity was high when we went to bed the night before so when the train ran through town at 3:30 am, it seemed louder than normal as the engineer blew the whistle at crossings. The nearest crossing to us was only two blocks away.  I knew I would not go back to sleep, so I gently pulled back the sheet and quietly tiptoed to the door. The dogs were asleep as I quietly walked by... thankfully the studio was on the other side of the house. I left Terry sleeping soundly. Little did I know that I was about to paint one of my lifelong favorites. Reflections of Glory.    Read more... “May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, 17 encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed a

That certainly recharges my batteries. I read somewhere that your ‘day’ begins the night before when you climb into bed.  Think about that.  So when you pull up those covers you are setting the stage for what you now think of as tomorrow.    Every new day/night brings to you a new change and a chance to choose a new path. You can begin again. If you chose to start this as you clim

And then at some point late, late, late at night, say just a bit before dawn, the heat finally breaks and the night turns into cool and when you briefly wake up, you notice that you're almost chilly, and in your groggy, half-consciousness, you reach over and pull the sheet around you and jus

Since I blog before ten, you would not know that! Yesterday I worked on some of the new small cradled paintings for holiday gifts. We went to Whole Foods this morning as well.  As an organic household, we are pretty careful on what we buy and eat.  I believe you are what you eat. No different that you are what you watch and you are what you read. What do you eat? What do

Remembering back is always so special to your first birth and your first baby.  I chose this horse painting because that is one thing he loved to do was play. He played hard, worked hard and sometimes studied hard.  He is a father of two wonderful boys that I cherish dearly and married to a wonderful woman.  Together they enjoy life's journey. Happy Birthday Justin.  He is about six months old here. This was Easter time.

Full Circle Contemporary Horse Paintings by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Full Circle © Laurie Pace 2009   © G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2014 Full Circle  Size:  24 x 36 Oil on Canvas. Sold Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  This is a favorite contemporary horse painting completed in 2009 for Mirada Fine Art  in Denver. It was only there a short time before it went to a collector in Canada. It seems to be a popular painting because I have seen imitated copies of it this past year.  I remember growing up hearing that phrase, "What goes around comes around". It truly does. It reflects full circle.   This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:5 #horsepainting  #lauriepaceart  #equineart  #originalpaintedponypull Laurie Pace A Texas Artist   Subscribe to my studio update newsletter. Horse 48 Uneasy Ride Horse Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2014 Horse 48 Uneasy Ride  Size:8 x 8  Oil on Canvas Panel. Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  Raw paint. Uneasy edges. Patterns of paint colliding together weaving into the surface of this panel. It is there among the texture.  A horse painting emerges... easily but with the flow of paint, I entitled it 'uneasy ride'.  First time painters initially struggle to bring content and paint to the canvas. With each day they gain confidence and strength in working with their oils. The biggest hurdle is not to copy or use an image (photo or painting) of another artist.  When you realize as a painter that the surface of that canvas holds unlimited ideas, you have arrived. This blank canvas holds the surface of a new world, a new creation... a new painting.  If painting becomes a struggle and not an adventure, it is time to change your perspective. Walk away from whatever is limiting you.

There are not many colors that work well with it but the final result was stunning in person. Not sure this photograph does it justice.  Our anniversary is this weekend coming up... still trying to decide what to do since he is all casted up and unable to do much with his right hand.  Morgan and Kelly have their anniversary this weekend as well.  I thought about dinner at the Classic Cafe in Roanoke.  We did that last year and had a wonderful time.  Cannot really travel well like Terry is right now.  More about our anniversary on Sunday... that is the special day.  My brain is in overdrive thinking of things to do to make it special.
