Progress on You Raise Me Up by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Progression on You Raise Me Up 30 x 40 inches Acrylic  Almost done!  More layering of color on this commissioned horse painting. Tomorrow I will post what is almost the finished piece. After that it is a wait and watch to see if there are changes I want after living with it a week.    ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2011   Contact me for your own commissioned painting: Laurie       In Partnership We are spiritual beings that exist in a physical body. I find more and more as I grow older my "want to" exceeds the ability of my "can do". While this should be a partnership there are frustrating moments as in any relationship. Considering things further, each of our "beings" is in partnership with our families, our communities and the world.  Even further we are all in partnership with the universe. Working together in partnership it actually starts with your spiritual being. Praising ...

The hot tub... that is my thought this morning. It was 54 degrees outside and Terry cleaned up the hot tub yesterday and we hit it this morning.  I feel like  a wet noodle slightly overcooked, but pretty good. A shower, clean hair drip drying and a good breakfast coming up next. I wanted to blog early this morning as yesterday's blog was posted so late. That book was about to drive me insane...but it is done. Thank goodness.  Debbie Lincoln proof read it on Monday and we went to print late yesterday. Now I have to paint for the show and I will be doing that today. Yesterday while the computer was tied up with the upload to LULU, I spent part of the ...

Hot Summer Night Abstract Equine Art Horse Oil Painting by Texas Horse Artist Laurie Pace

'HOT SUMMER NIGHT' 36 x 36  Oil on Canvas SOLD Commission Contact me for commission paintings. Laurie   © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 www.lauriepace.blogspot.com www.ellepace.com www.thepaintedpony.ne t The Painting: The buyer loved In the Heat of the Night... so I took it a bit further with more paint but the same concept of many many layers... first acrylic and then the oil layering. Each piece stands on its own for beauty and energy and that is praise to Him and the Holy Spirit that moves in me and to the canvas. The Thought:  I heard from a reader yesterday that my message on Father's Day touched her heart.  If my writing does that to just one reader, than God is working.  I found out over 110,000 new visitors have been to my blog.  That is huge to my brain that the concept of the internet even works...nonetheless reaching so many folks I do not even know. Thank you for writing. Choosing the right path...

Mountain Herd Wild Appaloosa Equine Abstract Art Horse Painting by Texas Artist Daily Painter Laurie Pace

'Mountain Herd Wild Appaloosa' 24 x 36  Acrylic on Canvas Contact me to purchase by check or paypal. Laurie     © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 The Painting:  This painting developed and went wild as I built the layers higher and higher adding the Spots to my girls! The Thought: They spoke on grace and blessings at church yesterday.  I know I write about that often.  But when I thought about it today, it is His Grace that is ours as we face so many challenges. He is there with us... and from each of those challenges comes blessings.  There is the Breakfast Club Sunday School group that goes to the local cafe for Sunday breakfast and it was here the discussion continued on the sermon today.  " Then he told this parable: "A man had a fig tree, planted in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it, but did not find any. So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, 'For three years now I've be...

Organic Horse 3 Abstract Equine Art Horse Daily Painting by Texas Aritst Laurie Pace

'Organic Horse 3' SOLD Contact me to purchase by check or paypal. Laurie   © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 The Painting:  This is a partial picture from a larger one.. but is sold this weekend. The Thought:  God Made Little Green Frogs In Coffee Cups That is a true statement. God did make little green frogs in coffee cups.   When I was cleaning off the kitchen counter and picking up a coffee cup to put in the dishwasher, low and behold there was this little green frog.  This cup had not been outside...only on the counter by the kitchen sink. Where did the frog come from? I know where the frog ended up! Those little unplanned things in life are humorous.  God definitely has a sense of humor.  If you think of what is humorous ( Terry loves the Three Stooges), it is usually something unexpected, incongruous and preposterous.  As a child many of us laughed at clowns, learning from an early age ...

Laurie   © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 The Painting: I worked more on this painting and really feel the power in it now. The Thought: This week is our wedding anniversary. Terry and I have known each other for 46 years.  That is a long relationship now days.   We are blessed to both be believers and to have grown up as teenagers visiting each other's churches and youth groups.  Yesterday morning we joined the First United Methodist Church of Mount Vernon Texas.  We are so blessed to be apart of this wonderful congregation.  Many of our neighbors from Tall Tree drive into town to attend this church as well as a large majority of folk  from town.  It is a large church with two services, active groups for every season of life and...

'Rugged Night' Equine Abstract ART Horse Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

'Rugged Night' 18 x 24  Acrylic on Canvas $275 and that includes shipping in the US  Contact me to purchase by check or paypal. Laurie   © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 The Painting:  Baby it's dark out here!  Heavy layers of Acrylic adorn this magnificent Stallion. The Thought:   Well yesterday as we drove home from school with Leah, we went to Winnsboro, Texas.  We had dinner at a pretty good place. Typical country mixture of Mexican American foods on a buffet. The two best things I ate were fresh carrots steamed and HOT coconut cream pie with a two inch meringue.   Terry was deep into country barbecue ribs and enchiladas. As we left the restaurant the clouds were gathering angrily and lightening was popping all around us.  The wind whipped the left over cartons almost out of my grasp as we headed to the car.   Driving up and through the Piney Woods back north to the lake, we e...
