I always walk in the mornings 3 miles... inside in cold weather...but outside. I walked Annie Dog 2 miles and she actually behaved!  Kerries are notorious for going  after game... and game is anything on four legs. Especially the fluffy white ones. Maybe I should do another sailing painting!  Visit Ellepace.com to see available artwork.   "Day is ended, dim my eyes,  But journey long before me lies.  Farewell, friends! I hear the call.  The ship's beside the stony wall.  Foam is white and waves are grey;  Beyond the sunset leads my way.  Foam is salt, the wind is free;  I hear the rising of the Sea." J.J. As soon as he took his eye off Jesus, and saw the rising wind and waves.....

Cut Away Over the Moon by ©Laurie Pace 2014 Cut Away Over the Moon   © +Laurie Pace         Graphics One Design 2014  Size:24 x 36  Oil on Canvas. Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  This contemporary abstract painting is of my Taylor guitar. It is one of the loves of my life.  Custom made for me to play, small and easy to manage if we travel... and my arms never tire of stroking and holding her. She is the inspiration of this painting. She has a 'cut away' at the top which for those of you that do not play guitar, it allows me to finger further on the neck of the guitar.   The "over the moon" part of the title is from the layers of music on the original surface.    This palette knife Guitar painting was NOT as easy thing yesterday. I was on my feet over five hours as it evolved several directions. I painted it more like my old pear paintings of days almost ten years ago... and tried to kee...

Part of being an artist is the need to explore and try out other approaches to representing things on canvas.  It needs to be original as well as part of who I am and the spirit within me. Here are the links to the Appaloosa Website to see my art work. The Magazine is out in print as well.  Cover and front INSIDE the Site Life at the Lake:  RAIN RAIN AND MORE RAIN.   I painted all day yesterday, still catching up from being gone.
