Face Within by Texas Contemporary Artist Laurie Pace - Figurative Painting

Face within.  What does that mean?  Faces are funny in so many ways. We often wear them as a mask so others do not know our thoughts, our insecurities, or even our reactions. When do we lower the mask? In this journey on this figurative painting,  I was repurposing a canvas with a prior painting on it.  There are two faces in this piece.  Hence the name, Face Within.  I do believe we all hide a huge portion of who we are in our heart as well as our feelings of insecurity and worry.  Always look at the eyes.
