I know it left the state. It was 24 x 30 and of course Holbein Oils... buttery and lush! Would love to paint for you! He guided them by the skillfulness of his hands." Ps 79:72 In our lives it is impossible for us to predict the storms we may face before they arrive out of no where. Leaning into the Lord and giving thanks ...

Crossing the County Line

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Crossing the County Line 30 x 40 Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Morning has broken... and the Texas Sun is heating up the day.    Wanted to share this contemporary Abstract Horse painting I did back in 2013.  Wild Horses are crossing the county line... the 'man drawn line' between counties in the state. Benjamin Franklin Terry Texas Ranger is the name of our precious Kerry Blue Terrier.  He is in distress and we hope to be vet bound in the next hour after they open.  He is a sweet baby and spoiled and not trained but he is ours.  Colossians 1:13-14 us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love, in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins.   Not sure about you, but I always used to feel that it was my duty to pray about things and then step up to try to facilitate things to work out. After all that is what a mother does.  In a way I was trying to do God's job and arranging things to work a certain way. I have learned even again recently the Lord does not really want or need my help and He does a better job flying solo through these things. My job? ...

Painted in my Golden Pond Studio in 2010, I am revisiting the heat wave months of Texas right now.  The horses are painted with a pulled palette knife. I love giving each horse their own contemporary look with different colors, so none of the them look the same. I believe this was a commissioned painting but not for sure. Most of these were painted as commissions at this point because I did not want o flood the market and it allowed me the ability to work with colors the buyer loved.  Commissions are welcome right now. A Season of Prayer.  by Texas Artist Laurie Pace Visit Ellepace.com to see available artwork.   “Prayer is not asking. Prayer is putting oneself in the hands of God, at His disposition, and listening to His voice in the depth of our hearts. ” ― Mother Teresa We are coming upon the start of Advent of the Christmas Season. on the 29th of November is the first Sunday of Advent.  In preparation of a healthier mindset, I have decided to steer pretty clear of engaging in anything but this season of Hope and Prayer.   Yesterday I woke up early.  Sunday mornings I would rather sleep in a bit past 5 am! I decided to grab my ipad and listen to Pastor Morris' message from Saturday Church at Gateway, Southlake, Texas.  I do believe his sermon was meant to stir us into preparing our heart for what was ahead, bot...
