Early Sunflowers

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Early Sunflowers Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   This Painting of Sunflowers is by far one of my favorite. It reminds me of my grandmother's farm in Florissant MO. I have written before describing the inner circle of flowers in the circular dirt drive. As a toddler most of the flowers were as tall as I was.  There was always a mist every morning at the farm when we woke up around 6 a.m.  Morning is always good! Genesis 19:27 "And Abraham went early in the morning to the place he had stood before the Lord. "   There are places in your heart and home that you have retreated to fall upon your knees and pray and cry out to the Lord. Our lives are all complicated and busy and things come up that we have to make hard decisions. What do you do, when you cannot decide on a direction? This verse in the Bible is referring to Abraham rising and looking in a dist...

Intent

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025  "Intent" Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   This is a throw back to 2010, 15 years ago, an unusual horse painting with a touch of realism and not palette knife.  This painting has a mystery to it and it lures the eye in for discovery over the surfaces of the horse's face. We were living in Dallas in our "Frank Lloyd Wright" inspired home and I had a huge studio that was 24 x 24 ft.  (Never had it so good!!!  Had a sink for washing brushes in and I loved it the almost three years we lived there. The photo below is the room but the people after us used it as another living area.  Here is the Zillow Link. The kitchen is as we did it, and flooring was solid wood and beautiful... we had that put in. We replaced ALL the windows in the house. Some one before us took out a circular fireplace in the front living room. IT is worth a peak! Click the photo.) Matthew 7:13-14 ...

Pink Boy

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Pink Boy Acrylic on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   This horse, PINK BOY,  brings a huge smile to my face.    This was painted in 2013 after we moved from the lake to Dallas Ft Worth area.  I remember the day I worked on it and got up early to finish it the next morning.   Friday afternoon already. We ran to Whole Foods and picked up groceries and lunch to bring home. I would rather grab food (Although not whole foods plant based) there and bring it home.  I did eat a huge homemade salad before eating what I brought home. I ate mostly a pasta salad but it had olives which I do not keep in the house... a one time pleasure for sure. Also some rice but I had to have a few bites of Mac and Cheese...the stress reliever of all, and some Mashbos... not healthy made. I rarely go off diet but the stress has been back the last two days as decisions have been made over...

Basic Love

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Fair Flowers Basic Love Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   The flowers in the vase are a photo of the "base of the painting" before I completed it.   Looking back there are really some impressionistic pieces that I could have stopped painting right here instead of moving all the way forward. I like the one above!!!     Acts 4:19-20 But Peter and John replied, “Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you, or to him? You be the judges! As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.”   Nothing is better that sharing time with those that believe in the Lord. During crisis or travail, they know He walks with them. Through hungry times, cold winds, floods, He walks with them. Never give up... Turn to the Lord. I am sharing what have I lived through, not just seen and heard.  Our personal 'challenge' is still pulling us down. The Lord p...

Flowers in the Summer

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Flowers in the Summer Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   This Flower painting is simplistic and was the base layer as it grew to a different painting. I really like this one as it was and kept a good image of it. Hubby grows many flowers through out our backyard and the front yard.  He works to keep them watered in the summer heat here in north Texas.  I go out and cut my roses and keep a vase filled in the kitchen.  Our thoughts and prayers right now still remain with the families, the rescue and search teams in Hill Country of Texas.   The broken hearts left behind will be challenged by pain and loss for years to come. Having experienced that recently, almost one year into it, I have learned to lean steadily on our Lord. It echos through my heart, my mind and my body, "Do not be afraid, I am with you."  Have no fear, have no anxiety, rest in Him.  Isaia...

Flowers in the Air

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Flowers in the Air Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Abstract Flower Painting from 2016 era and I still love it today. I posted this painting today in hope and prayers for all those affected by the massive flood in our state in Hill Country which is Austin and San Antonio to the west. Heavy rains, floods, and tears fell through out this area yesterday and still today.  Rain was in the forecast but not in the amounts that arrived. The system originated from moisture coming up from western Mexico moving from an air disturbance in a circular motion. When the rain hit... it circled. The rain literally kept falling. People camping near Kerrville, Texas and the river were hit with over 10 inches of rain and a 20ft surge of water down the river and through the land area. Entire families were swept away, and Mystic Campground was filled with young girl campers. They are stil...
