We thought we were going to have a warm week, but no idea past today any more. This painting was done I think back in 2010 at my studio on the lake. We had a red winter solstice Moon... and it was beautiful... so I painted some horses I had taken photos of at our friends ranch.  2 Corinthians 12:9 " But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me ." It is hard to prepare for this season when you have lost a grandchild over the year.  Last year it was without my mother, this year seems a lot harder.  Reach out to friends and check up on them. Most folks tend to keep their head down and walk through life often without being noticed. Many people are truly hurting deeply in their hearts, and especially if they do not have the Lord God to walk with them through these times. Jesus is here.  One of the 'songs' I taught every single grandchild, became a mantra with me over the last four months.   "My God is so big, so strong and so mighty, there's nothing my God cannot do .The Mountains are His, the Rivers are His, the stars are His wonderment too... Congratulations!  I think I have the perfect fun thing coming your way! The  painting above is a favorite. This is when painting was fun, things were selling and I could not paint fast enough. Not sure what has happened to the freedom and the joy in this world right now, but I am going to continue painting a bit longer! At least I have thoughts to direction.  THAT is a beginning!!  I am also ordering a new smaller easel for my studio then the big Santa Fe 2 I had in here.
