I walked outside with Paddy early this morning as the dark was lifting from the pond and realized our oak outside the kitchen window was solid red leaves. Before me on the ground was a carpet of red fallen leaves and still a bounty above on the limbs. The palette of fall is alive with wonderment and strong vivid hues of reds, oranges and yellows.
