I love to visit because I get to see it framed and hanging and very very loved. Do you love sleep? I do.  The older I have gotten it sometimes evades me and that is frustrating. I use to be able to sleep almost anywhere. My Dad was that way as well.  Sleep at night is truly the beginning of the next day. It is the sleep you get that empowers you through the next day.  Most times you thi

(Joshua 1:9) On this Veterans Day I have to share a remembrance of my dad who served in the Army during the Korean war.  Terry and I attended a Veteran's Day Banquet on Friday night this past week.  It is an annual banquet by the Republican Woman of Northeast Texas where they honor a living veteran in the area for their service.   The company was fabulous being surrounded by men and women that have served in our great mili

I am blocking in colors that will be mixed to be darker but I am hoping to be heading the correct direction. Words of my Heart The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. Scripture does not say “and to seeds,” meaning many people, but “and to your seed,” meaning one person, who is Christ.  Galatians 3:16 My Christmas Cactus are blooming already. Usually they begin putting out early buds in December. I believe the cold nights we have had have encouraged them to bloom early.  They are a promise to me reminding me daily of the special joy of celebrating the birth of Christ Jesus.  Every year I know they will bloom at this same time approaching the holiday season.  Read more here. The Cowboy, Cowboy Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2012 On the Easel, Praying Cowboy Progress Oil on Canvas. Donated SOLD painting  I will try and post my progress on this painting. Things are a bit chaotic here in the studio with cleaning out and preparing for winter. I began working on this last night on the painting process. This above is the blocking in portion as I get started. Words of my Heart.... “But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.””  Joshua 24:15 This verse seemed appropriate following the elections. I truly try not to focus on the political turmoil our nation is in, and I did not hide the fact I was not pleased with either choice on the ballot this week.  Terry and I stay focused o

Would it not be nice to wake each morning with that joy igniting your day? I have memories of when Terry and I fell in love... we talked about it last night. We met in 1963, but it was in 1964 that the relationship began. We were in eighth grade.  That first love is filled with new beginnings and expectations.  You literally cannot wait to see him every day.  Your emotions run wild from excitement to love, to worry and back again...but yet every day you wake in anticipation of seeing him.  As we grow o

In Progress... Still not finished but will begin working on this one in the evenings. Contact me for Commission work. Laurie     © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2011 My Blog My Website     Giclees on Canvas, Prints and Cards It was a computer day yesterday as I just about finished the new www.artistsoftexas.org site . Not every page is changed visually but all the meta descriptions are added and the artists that sent me information and new images got an overhaul on their bio page.  This took almost 10 days to get to this point but from here forward I can change out things little by little. Have you ever been confronted with a job that seemed endless?  How do you set your frame of mind for it?  Do you wallow around thinking, "I will never finish this, why should I even start it?" or does your mind go, "Okay, one step at a time here... and one day it will be done."  That is how I urge you to look at your life all the time.
