More Progression on the Three Arabians 30 x 40 inches Oil on Canvas I continue to paint on this piece working with the couple in the UK on the colors and tones in the painting. He had seen the blog and called to catch up.  I asked him where exactly he was going with the rock as he had ended up his sermon yesterday and Terry and I both somehow missed his last tie in. He said it was referring to Jesus knowing Peter would be the "Rock" the church was built upon.       Jesus knew

You pray hard that you are rooted strong enough to withstand the blow. What keeps your rooted? What is your foundation? If you lost everything you had right now... materialistically, would you survive? If you lost your family right now, would you survive? When winds are calm it is easy to pray and feel secure in your faith. When the wind picks up, your foundation in life will be tested.  Putting God's truth into your day and sharing it will strengthen your foundation. God is with you no matter what storm hits. You are protected.  It does not mean you cannot lose

Illnesses, disease, and unexpected accidents affect all of us. When those you love are hurting, facing health issues or even death, you must hold to your heart there is no way but up for the help and power to heal them either in this life or heal them as they continue on to God. As with the changing seasons in His control, so are each of us in His hands.  With God there beside us extraordinary things will happen in our lives.  Just keep your eyes on Him above and your spirit in His grace and He will prov

Laurie  © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 The Painting: It has a history... but never owned, just a good history.  If you buy it, I will share it! The Thought: This morning you get the story of the DUMP.  If you live in Dallas you would think I was talking about a huge store that is called THE DUMP...but I am referring to a real dump.   One thing to find out when you buy a home is where the county dump is.  We neglected to do that. Our first loads went to a precinct in our county where there was a dumpster. No one was ever there so we took our stuff and left it in the big dumpster as instructed by our trash folks. This worked until this week when we drove the 8 miles just to find the dumpster did not exist anymore. Terry had me call the local sheriff...our friend Paul.  He has lived here since 2002 and does know where everything is.  He gave us two sets of

'Desert Wind' Equine Horse Art Colorful Abstract Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

'Desert Wind' 20 x 20 Acrylic on Canvas SOLD THANK YOU! Contact me to purchase by check or paypal. Laurie © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 The Painting: Acrylic may be the paint of choice as we put our house on the market this next weekend.  I do not have Hanging Walls any more! Terry has everything touched up and painted. This is a pretty acrylic with lots of three dimensional paint. The Thought:   Have you ever asked anyone for a letter of recommendation?  What goes into a letter someone might write about you?  Could you write one for yourself?  Many folks stretch the truth on their resumes and then want friends to take the stretch in the letters of recommendation.   When you are on the other end and you are hiring someone, how can you trust what is in those letters? Can you trust them? Paul never needed 'letters' to explain who he was and what he was doing. His teaching spoke for itself as he reached the hearts of many with the love of Jes

The Thought :  I am still tired from our trip yesterday. We drove up to Bonham for Terry's dad's VA visit and to see my Dad, who is there with Alzheimers. It is an all day trip from 8:30 in the morning until we arrived home after five last night.  I worked until 8pm and gave up finally to head to the shower and bed.  My blog is short this morning, as I have something special in the brew today and maybe tomorrow I will reveal more... it is something every artist needs to do... and I pray I am able to carry it off!   That should keep you guessing.... I will either do it 100 percent or I won't do it at all.  Prayers are requested. I call this "perfect fit".

The Thought: Who does the battle belong to in your life?  The most famous battle I remember in the Bible was when David went up against Goliath. WOW... that was something noteworthy for all us little guys in the world that cannot throw a spear or shoot a gun. David knew the battle was truly not a human battle of strength...he knew it was about the divine power of God.   We all face battles daily, and some get pretty heated and our tempers flare easily.   We must give this anger to God and allow Him to take on the battles.  If we stay centered in Him and know He can conquer anything...it will come to pass.  You must live for God to have the triumphant confidence that David had.   No earthly threat, man or mouth can match the power of God.  As you prepare for this new da

'Spirit Sun Dance' Colorful Horse Equine Art Daily Oil Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

'Spirit Sun Dance' 10" x 10" (25.4cm x 25.4cm) Oil on Canvas SOLD  © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 The Painting:  After painting the Warrior of Old this weekend...and it selling today, I decided to try this approach to the canvas again. It is ever so important for an artist to continue to stretch their minds to climb out of the "box" that holds them into new areas...and NOT areas already being explored and sold by other artists...but new areas. It is truly hard to be original with out having a bit of "other artists" touching in your work, but it truly should be a spiritual experience as you work on your pieces...a passion and a love from your heart.  So embrace my newest in this small pieces of this Gallery Series Spirit of the Equine. The Thought : Terry is still home with pneumonia.  We continue to work on that puzzle we started before Christmas and I believe we might have it completed this week. Looks like we lost one
