We are each blessed with gifts for our journey. Sometimes these gifts change and we may not be prepared to accept new ones or say goodbye to old ones.   You are the artisan of your life. As Moses built the tabernacle, he was assured by God that the workers helping him were gifted with their abilities to know what to do. Moses was not a savvy contractor, but God was.  Each person working was filled with the Spirit of God. Upon completion the Tabernacle was filled with the Spirit of God. Planting a Tree for my Dad God has given you this day the tools you need to create and accomplish whatever you set your mind to, or if you are listening to Him, where ever He guides you.  If you are not happy at this point in your life

You are never alone. Can you hold this in your mind and feel the true comfort of it?  It comes with the ray of sunshine falling on your face, or the cool of evening passing over your shoulders. It comes with the song of birds and the rush of winds through the trees.  It comes in music, books and in touch...the touch of a feather or the touch of water.  His assurance surrounds you when you take the time to listen and feel His presence.  God's loving presence surrounds all of us. When you are so busy you tend to miss it. So draw a slow deep breath and close your eyes... can you hear him? Can you feel His love?  As you release your breath, le

There were over 40 entries for this small painting but so many awesome emails that came with each entry. Sheriff Paul was running from one event to the other so I had to have him choose a number between 1 and 40 and the list of how the entries arrived were on my excel sheet. He choose the number 12 and the 12th person to write me was one that brought so much joy to me this week, Amber Marie Jones.  I had heard from her earlier in the month as she was doing a school project on artists and had chosen my work. (BTW, she is from the UK) I will be se

I am not believing September is here.  Wish the weather would change a bit...then we might believe it. The economy is not getting any better. Our weather is getting any better either.  Time to place it all back in God's hands and get busy doing things that are important and leave the grumpy thoughts behind.  As Ben always says, "You can get GLAD just li

Laurie     © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 My Blog My Website   www.CFAIntl.com I read somewhere in the past few days that making the right decision is not always the easy decision and often not the decision we want to make. I don't think I have written about this, but I have meditated over it for several weeks. I think it was in a fictional book by Lauraine Snelling. "Ellie" I have most of her books and am rereading this summer the entire series. Silly example of 'curbing' ones need to do what one wants to do instead of what one should do, was last night.  The surveyor was here helping us find our missing stake to mark the southwest boundary of our land.  I was really wanting to walk along and watch as they found the markers and ran the line.  I have this huge desire to learn about new things... OR is it I just want to be there to be th
Windows of My Mind Abstract Oil Painting by Laurie Justus Pace 30 x 30 inches Oil on Canvas SOLD "Nathan replied to the king, "Whatever you have in mind , go ahead and do it, for the LORD is with you. " 2 Samuel 7:3 Exercise today. Keeps the body and mind young. Think today of all the people in your life that are important. Some might be important for good reasons, some other for not so good reasons. Jot down their names, the relationship and then what might need to be worked on to ensure the relationship is healthy. What is a healthy relationship? For years studies have shown that people with healthy relationships really do have a deeper sense of contentment and less stress. With each of the people on your list... do you have a feeling of contentment when reflecting on the full relationship? 1. Expectations. This applies to your self and the other person. No one can be everything we want them to be. That is how we set ourselves up for disappointment. Realizing

The gallery opening at The Dutch Art Gallery was really nice and I wish I would have been there. My mother and brother went and stood in for me. I will run by on Tuesday to see the show as it is set up so nicely from pictures my youngest brother sent me. So my thoughts today are on healing...the power of God to bring healing into our lives. Not just healing for our worn bodies, but healing all through our lives including relationships we might need to work on. May your day be blessed richly with His Grace. We bought one for Paddy, Terry's dog. He is a terrier terror to take on a walk. He is into everybody's business and barks at anything that is not human. He truly doesn't bother with people, it is birds, cats, other dogs etc... and he is going to have them for dinner. Walking with Terry has been wonderful this week as we have left the dogs at home. I panic when Paddy is with us because

Journey ~ Abstract by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 72 inches Acrylic on 3 inch gallery wrap Canvas. Commissions welcome....this one is mine! Laurie This is my painting in my living room~before the chili party. Last night we had our sixth annual Chili party and White Elephant Gift Exchange Yesterday morning I was busy painting in the studio on the painting you see hanging above. We have a circular wall in the living room so I did a 72 inch abstract that hangs with a bowed wall behind it. Morgan did an awesome job decorating. Basically I let him run with the colors! As I was preparing for the party I decided life could be compared to a hard boiled egg. You know the egg starts out raw...like we do in life in the womb... a tiny egg. After we are born we get pretty hardened by life experiences. Some eggs (people) get harder boiled than others. (Can you argue that one?) Some people are soft boiled, so when you break into the egg the yellow is runny...makes it good to dip in your toast then
