Horse Painting Progress YOU RAISE ME UP by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Progression on Your Raise Me Up Slowly but surely... The next layers of paint form up a strong horse in this equine art painting by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace        ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2011   Contact me for your own commissioned painting: Laurie      Growing Pains Many people do not follow God. Is it commitment issues? Are they worried that God will expect more of them than they can give? Roses and flowers He created for our joy. God does ask for obedience. Why? Obedience actually frees you from responsibilities to enjoy His blessings. His blessings include peace, joy, and a fulfilled life. His blessings are seen in the world around us in His creative powers and in those that follow Him. He does not always answer those desperate last minute pleas when you need something fixed.  He does more than rigging short term fixes.  He wants to 'grow you' into His grace a...

Epsilon Abstract Horse Painting in Progress by Texas Contemporary Equine Artist Laurie Pace

"Epsilon" Abstract Horse Painting in Progress 30 x 40 inches Mixed Media Painting Still watching direction on this one...stay tuned for final shots in the next few days.   © Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2011      Waiting As I work on a painting in my studio I am always waiting and watching the direction of growth as the painting develops under my brush and/or palette knife.  I wrote yesterday about "in the mind's eye".  Today I spent another three or four hours on this piece and it is evolving with the layering of all the paints and the changing of contrasting colors building on each other. There are quite a few hours yet to be to travel with this one and I will wait patiently as I paint. I am in waiting for that inner feeling that my job is complete and the painting has reached the point of 'finish'. We all seem to do a lot of 'waiting' in life. Often we are waiting on others instead of concentrating on waiting on God. Wai...
No. 94 Running Color Contemporary Art Horse Equine Daily Painting by Laurie Justus Pace 18 x 24 x 2 inches Acrylic on Canvas Contact me to purchase: Laurie "All the paths of the Lord are steadfast love and faithfulness, for those who keep His covenant and His decrees." Psalm 25:10 Terry has taken on the task to help me with exercising. I found when he holds my ankles I can do a better sit up... doesn't hurt my neck as much. Today he had me doing Jack LaLanne exercises that all the house wives did in the fifties, including his mother. Somehow my mother missed that show. I remember Queen for the day, but not watching Jack very often. ANY way, he has me sitting in one of the kitchen chairs, holding on to the chair and keep my feet elevated and bringing my knees up to my chest. I can tolerate about six of these at a time. BURNING in the thighs...and some tummy to get out of the way. It is a start and I am so appreciative of his help right now. Jack talks about our b...
Blue Moon Rising Horse Absrtract Painting by Laurie Justus Pace 18 x 24 x 2 inches Acrylic on Canvas Contact me to purchase and mention title of painting: Laurie The moon is huge outside this morning. Terry just left for work and I walked him out to the truck. I have not seen the stars this bright since we lived out in the country, and the Moon, it is full and bright enough to look like the sun in the night sky. After the rough night of weather this is a glorious gift to receive this morning and I give thanks. Yesterday I was painting and listening to music and it was a Christian Rock section on my IPOD. I heard the words of a song I have heard a thousand times and something clicked in my head. There are times you search for ways to explain things to grandchildren and children I guess and you can't always grasp how to explain it. The verse went on about Jesus wearing the Crown of Sin and when I heard the words something happened within me. Remember a time in your life when y...
