It is one of my last images of Lady L on her bike with Bampa behind her helping her round her first corner. She had been riding very well in a straight line but we were introducing turns and rounding corners, something she had to practice to negotiate without tipping over. Square corners in life are all about efficiency and control. Ninety degrees is ninety degrees and a square corner is a square corner...but what does that mean about rounding corners?  When you look back at this past week or past month of your life there are probably things you might have done differently. "Mums" 18 x 24 inches Oil on Canvas SOLD! THank you! Contact me to purchase: Laurie © Laurie Justus Pace Graphics One Design 2009 " You then, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. " 2 Timothy 2:1 The Painting: This is a second painting I was working on when Barbie was visiting. I finished it up yesterday. It began with a bottom layout in acrylic for value placement. From this point there are layers of oils piled on top using a wide brush. The Thought: Not sure of what it is, but I have been "down" for two days straight. Hopefully today will be better. Anytime I ate or drank water it felt like a tightening in my stomach, like an old fashioned tummy ache. Did not get to go visit our best friends in Mt Vernon yesterday...so I am a bit sad. Hopefully today I can eat again. Terry continues to rip out the bathroom in our bedroom. The shower is completely torn out and tonight I think he intends to pull out the toilet and the

Dessert came out with candles. Enjoy the journey and enjoy the destination. Makes you reflective on anniversaries. I have known this man since I was 11. We definitely have experienced much of life together. Our journey continues as does our love and respect for each other. We had so many best wishes from our close friends and families, Thank you! I especially love the antique Hummel Figurine we received... oh it tugs at our hearts. Often in life we make some decision that we want something. We do everything with in our power to get it. We work relentlessly to make the

Some mornings have to start with celebration of music and praise. Today the Tink (Our granddaughter, Lauren, is coming. Actually today and tomorrow. So much for working... we will be otherwise busy. When Chris Tomlin sings, he truly is passionate...there is none like you God...none like you. This is true for us in His eyes. There is none like you in His eyes either as He created each of us in a unique way; each here on this earth to be in a great relationship with Him; each of us giving our gifts to other; each of us coming together to celebrate His greatness. Little Lauren arrived with Stacey at seven a.m. A few hours of enjoying her and then bundling her up, we had our first Girls Day Out Shopping...but only for two small stops, Target and Gymboree. I have pictures on Stacey's camera and I will do a slide show for tomorrow. Also pictures of everyone coming to see Baby Lauren. She met her Great Aunt Terrie and her Great Uncle Bill.... and then enjoyed her Great Grandpa Ben and her Bampa, Terry. I don't know about the baby, but I am worn out. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you." John 15:15 Do you value your friends? Some of them are closer than others. Loving intimate friendships that grow over time are the ones that survive the good and bad times. Those friends are often the ones that bring calm to our lives. Leave it to a good friend to celebrate all the different victories in our lives, small and large. The connection to this wonderful person crosses all boundaries and often fills the emptiest part of us. It is that friend that sticks to you through thick and thin. John 9:3 As you can tell I have been adjusting things on the blog. I had noticed Jelaine's blog and loved her three column approach and when I wrote her, she sent me on to Sarah Trefny , who was kind enough to help me add my third column. What I still need to figure out, is how to adjust the type margins not to hit the edges... but I am way out of my knowledge area now. You will see adjustments as I play with it! Yesterday was catch-up day. I had clients to meet with at lunch; infact Morgan and Kelly came too and hopefully both Morgan and I will be able to do some art work for this project. It is a Doctors Office of the future, so it is definitely pulling at my heart. Currently the practice is 30 years young and at this point totally built t
FALL COLLECTION Abstract Floral Paint Pull Oil Painting by Laurie Justus Pace 12 x 24 inches Contact me to purchase, special pricing: Laurie SOLD THANK YOU!!! Sunday Morning and the house is quiet as I get Terry off to work. Later Mom and I will drive up to see Dad today. THEN upon arriving home, I am three days behind after being caught up after the summer, so I will be working late tonight and through the next few days. It is bad when I am out of paintings to post on my blog. We enjoyed our time with Mark Bryant. He boarded a plane late yesterday afternoon to head back to Nevada. I am laughing at the Tomato, TOMMAATO thing the long "a" sound or the "ah" sound. I do not pronounce Nev"ah"da correctly....it is Nev "a" da. I may have to work on that after 55 years of saying it incorrectly. The family reunion was all too fast. It was in a church we had never been to and we were surprised at the small turnout. I think some folks got lost. U
