This is the granddaughter of one of my dearest friends.  This little girl is the spitting image of her beautiful grandmother.  This was a crazy day photo with her wearing all her favorite colors and the net layered colorful skirt that grandmother brought to her!   Do you remember in your lifetime, being surprised by a gift from a family member that made you feel special?  I do... with several memories and my favorite was a soft yellow sweater at age 3 with tiny rosebuds near the neckline.  We used to be able to smile and greet people with a warm hello. Those who are not in love with God will see only their own faces in it.” ― Rumi This is the second steps of a commissioned painting. I did up four sketches for the piece and he chose the three horses drinking. You can see how I began the piece with a mid dark blue and then began sketching the horses in place. The base is in acrylic and then the painting is in oil. Every painting I do has a 'joy' to it.  To enjoy this moment of painting ...

All they show is limitation. Look with your understanding, find out what you already know, and you'll see the way to fly. ― Richard Bach When it begins, it begins!  The quotes on the painting are: “Your friends will know you better in the first minute you meet than your acquaintances will know you in a thousand years.”  ― Richard Bach “A soulmate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to o...
