Looking back at it now I see I should have brought some of the mid orange into the body of the horse... and not just the red.  But I still love the contrast and

This is near the end but not the finished painting.  I had to bring up the intensity of the background to match the strength of the horse.   Remember this is a large painting... 42 inches tall... about 28 wide.  Nearing the end of this journey the last paint strokes are the most important. ... I am working with colors requested by the collector and loving how it is weaving together. Everything is here at my touch... on my palette, from my spirit, from the Holy Spirit to finish this painting.
