'Revolution' Equine Contemporary Art Horse Daily Oil Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

'REVOLUTION' 24 x 30  Oil on Canvas SOLD Contact me to purchase by check or paypal. Laurie © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 The Painting: Another Oldie Goldie. Tomorrow I return to my easel after about a two week break. God is good and I know I am ready to come back and create some new things....it is an open book and a new step every day... take out those paints and let the flow, run, drip, glob and make art happen. The Thought :  Expiration Date.... we were at the store and I was checking expiration dates on things to make sure Murphy's Law did not encourage me taking something home that we could not eat. I hate returning things... so much trouble to keep up with receipts and then remembering to take it with you on the next trip there. Expiration Dates... do we have those on our gifts from God?    I tell Crystal daily she has to use her gifts.  We are just beginning to identify them, but the child of my heart has a huge heart to want to lo

'The Sun' Contemporary Horse Equine Oil Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

'The Sun' 5 x 7 inches Oil on Canvas SOLD Contact me to purchase by personal check or Paypal: Laurie © Laurie Justus Pace    Graphics One Design 2009 The Painting :  A second in my series this week.  This one has a brilliant gold background reminding me of the Texas Sun on a summer day.  Holbein Oil are a treasure to work with on this small prepaint of a larger canvas.  Due to the closing of Patina Gallery and the coming return of work from Earthworks, which is relocating over the winter, I have compiled a list of available Original Fine Art Paintings.  Browse through and make me an offer! HORSE ART AVAILABLE SAILBOATS, FLOWERS, and OTHER ART AVAILABLE   The Thought :  I know I am getting older because my oldest son just had another birthday.  It is the inevitable.  He was so sweet sending me a gorgeous bouquet of white flowers.  I thought it was just as sweet when his Dad came in from the garden bearing a red rose off our JFK rose bush, or was it a Mr L

'The Moon' Horse Equine Oil Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

'The Moon' 5 x 7 inches oil on Panel SOLD Contact me to purchase through personal check or paypal: Laurie © Laurie Justus Pace    Graphics One Design 2009 The Painting :   This new series is a gift series for the holidays.  Affordable original art perfect to slip into a frame for that special friend. The Thought :  Inner peace is my mantra today ... it is Friday.  Different for us though as our weekend is truly Monday/Tuesday with Terry's job schedule.  Inner peace should be every day this early in the morning.  I try not to borrow tension from looking at the dreaded list.  Yes I have a new one this week. I allow myself to sit back and feel God's peace fill me as I breath and pray to Him.  The stillness is energizing and calming.  The less focused I am on current day problems or needs, the more at peace I can become. The house is quiet . No tv blaring, no Ipod playing, no coffee pot burpling (I don't drink coffee) ... nothing but quiet surrounds

'Rising Spirit' Horse Equine Art Painting by Laurie Pace

'Rising Spirit' 24 x 30 inches Oil on Canvas SOLD Contact me for a commissioned horse painting. Laurie © Laurie Pace  Graphics One Design 2005 The Painting : Another one from the archives. It has not been a painting weekend and it is always a trip to go back through things painted four years ago. This was a very strong color palette and more impressionistic horses.  The Thought :  Did you ever sing that song when you were little that went, "Me and my shadow, my shadow and me. We're always together, we're good company."    Sometimes I like to think of God being that shadow. In truth He is leading me so the sun has to be behind me. The play on words deepens if you look. The SON is behind me, my shadow leads me... the shadow is God.  God has the lead and Jesus has your back.      Know this in your heart through the waking hours today. Seasons follow seasons and sunrise follows moon set, and there is truly no need to worry as the Father leads you.  He will

'Visions 305' Horse Equine Oil Painting by Laurie Pace

'Visions 305' 20 x 24 inches Oil on Canvas Revisit Oil Painting  NOW SOLD Contact me for artwork: Laurie © Laurie Justus Pace  Graphics One Design 2009 The Painting : I revisited a piece that seemed to be missing something and of course that is always color from my brain.  The original was all in acrylic and this revisited version has several layers of oil added on top of it. As soon as I touched it up, someone emailed that it was what they wanted and so as soon as it is dry, it heads to the coast to live. The Thought :  What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?  Do you yawn and stretch? Most of us do.  Stretching is a time to waken the relaxed body and begin slowly moving and stretching those muscles that have been relaxed all night. It allows them to bend and work with out pain as you push out from the covers to stand and begin your day. Each day is a challenge and perhaps it is wise to think of  a morning prayer as "stretching" and awak

'Colors in the Sun 2" Horse Equine Painting by Laurie Pace

'Colors in the Sun 2' 5 x 7 inches Oil on Board SOLD FROM BLOG! Thank you. Contact me to purchase $100: Laurie © Laurie Justus Pace  Graphics One Design 2009 The Painting :  This is a second in the small series I am doing in preparation for the Daily Painters of Texas Art Show in Dallas.  This is a mini series to compliment a larger group. Oil on panel. The Thought: Such a shock yesterday to finish a blog that took an hour to write and it disappeared. I decided God must not have liked the message...ya think? Each new day brings a new opportunity for you to claim your own good. As you do this you must also affirm this to be true for those around you.  It is God's love and light that brings it to you.  The more you affirm this great goodness, the fuller your life will become.    It almost reminds me of developing new habits.  When you want to change things in your life you have the power to make the changes.  The first week or two of Doing It The New Way it feels so

Equine Art Horse Painting by Laurie Justus Pace

" Raw Equine" 30 x 30 inches Acrylic Overlays on Canvas SOLD Contact me for Commission Work: Laurie © Laurie Justus Pace Graphics One Design 2009 "Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, 'The word of the Lord that you have spoken is good.' For he thought, 'There will be peace and security in my days. '" Isaiah 39:8 The Painting: I am only doing about three to four paintings a week now. Some of my "fill in" postings are from earlier years, but this one is a fresh new one and I only finished it last night. I Sold it today already. It is layers and layers of Acrylic overlays. Then a finish three layers of varnish to seal it. Unusual for me as the painting has a dark background, based in grays and blacks. Most likely very collectible because it is so different. The Thought: Not sure at all why I chose black and grey as I began to work this canvas. We all have times that bring us to our knees. There are always disturbing experiences in

"Summer Herd" © Equine Art Horse Oil Painting by Laurie Pace

" 2 Thessalonians 1:11 A Painting a Day: This is one of my collected painted pony pulls. This is an exclusive style that I developed in 2005, which is a story in itself. If you ever buy one I might share the story! This is a painting created in layers, MANY LAYERS. It takes lots of paint, patience and trial and error. The effect reminds me of shimmering heat, the kind of heat we have in Texas. My Thought for the Day: Time to climb out of our boxes today. If we can do that... my imagery is with a ladder because I am so deeply down in this box. By stepping out of our comfort zone and our "self" zone, we can then begin to serve others. God embraces us daily in our walk, and today is a

Three in the Field Contemporary Art Horse Equine Daily Oil Painting by Laurie Justus Pace 6 x 6 inches Oil on linen canvas $100.00 SOLD at 5:30 am Eastern Time January 19th. Contact me to purchase: Laurie These three horses speak to me of Family. As Terry and I wait in quiet anticipation for Lauren Gracen to be born into our family, we remember and celebrate how Adam and Eve must have felt when they created their first child and Eve gave birth to Cain. God's creating continued...He only let us believe He was done....and today He is still at work 24/7. It is His divine process that makes conception and birth possible. We always think of this happening involving the creation of this child due to the parents, but it was the third presence of God that truly made it all possible. This child grows up as all children do, learning to be independent; yet always with this child is the indwelling spirit of God. Celebrate Family today. Call someone you love and tell them something specia
