Beginnings of STARLIGHT, Horse Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2012 Beginnings of Starlight 30 x 40 Acrylic on Deep Canvas I had a color palette in mind when I began this painting. I did paint the surface first with layers of glazing but I used regular acrylics.  I will finish this one up for the final posting tomorrow.   Then next I want to try the same color palette but using fluid acrylics to compare the build of the layering.  It will be a different horse with the same color palette. I am surprised this looked as green as it does as they are really rather bright yellow. Read more here. My Blog     My Web

It started out in one direction but I firmly believe God's spirit drew me another way. It lives up in the Northeast now. Words of my heart:  Free yourself, like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, like a bird from the snare of the fowler.  Proverbs 6:5 There is nothing like a walk along the shoreline at the lake and visiting our white ducks. We hear them jabbering every day and watch them from the dam, but walking on the waters edge makes it clear they are trusting.   READ more here. I look back and often see the journey in my work with amazement. The winner of the House Painting is Debra Bryant.  Thank you all for submitting to win the House Painting from two mornings ago. I had several email me directly and many comments on gratefulness also registering. “He is not a mere mortal like me that I might answer him that we might confront each other in court. If only there were someone to mediate between us, someone to bring us together, someone to remove God’s rod from me, so that his terror would frighten me no more.  Job 9:32-34 Sometimes in every marriage there are bumpy roads and words said that can hurt. My mom and dad always told us when we got married never go to bed not speaking.  When teaching I always called i

Their teaching will be like flowers in your hair or a necklace around your neck." The Thought: Two birthdays in a row gives much room to weight gain. The hard loss of 8 lbs over the last 8 weeks... could be gained back easily. There sits in my refrigerator half of a wonderful chocolate cake. I keep reminding myself. NO. A thought that has floated around in my head the last few days was something my Dad told me years and years ago. I was probably in my twenties or early thirties. He was always the "go to" when something needed to be figured out. He taught me
