Between Two Points Sold  Painting This was painted in the early 2001-2003 era. The car on the street was a new two year production car that never made it. The line of immigrants in front of a government building that do not speak English, no one is relating or talking with each other...and they are all in this line seeing this opulent American car and knowing the dream will soon be theirs.  In the back you can see the American Flag and other figures below it. 'Between Two Points' 36 x 48  Oil on Canvas SOLD Contact me for commission work. Laurie © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2005 The Painting: This is from my old portfolio and is owned by private collector in the Ft Worth area. It sold from my NY gallery several years ago, but I wanted to post it to share my thoughts this day. The Thought:   Neale Donald Walsch had a good send out message that I received this week.  I am going to incorporate it with my Thanksgiving thoughts for you.  Thanksgiving is a day to be remembered in the history of the United States. It is holiday that started as our nation began, stemming from a total celebration of "we did it".  Truly it was more "God did it... we made it."  It is still that way today.  We are we with God and His almighty power and plans.  Always better to work together toward the goal than to pull in opposite directions.  Not sure what was in the mind of those first English Pilgrims, bu
NEW YEARS CELEBRATION ~ City Scape by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 48 x 2 inches, Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas Contact me for details to purchase. Laurie SOLD ON DAILY PAINTERS! THANK YOU! Short blog this morning! This is a gorgeous HUGE painting by my son and I, done over the last two days! We worked side by side and then would switch sides. He began to see people walking on the sidewalk below. I can actually see them now! Can you? He has a job interview with Northwest ISD on Monday so prayers are needed! It is for a special education position. His work with Grant, the grandson that died in February, led him to the belief that he wanted to teach and work with special need children. I am short today because my internet is intermittent at best. I would not give you a plug nickel for Time Warner Cable. Our service is rotten. A repair is due out this afternoon and meanwhile my hands are tied when it comes to online. God Bless you each. Laurie “He has showed you, O man, what is good. And wha
Midnight Seascape 18 X 27 inches Oil on Canvas A Painting a Day It is Wednesday! All the paintings left for Wyoming...whew...one more thing behind me. I will be traveling some over the next week but will continue to post. I spent yesterday going over everything with the couple that will be staying at our home, house sitting and dog sitting. We have to make sure our animals are happy! Annie does not like the pet hotel. The pet Hotel does not like Paddy. So, we will let the dogs stay home! Now that summer has arrived we have to make sure all the trees and plants are watered too. Sometimes leaving home is a problem more than a joy. Maybe if we had a sprinkler system it might be easier. I will put that on my wish list. This painting is one of my favorite pull pieces with colors blending and merging into others. I use a thin palette knife to create this style and I am a lover of purples and blues... very restful to paint. Remember to rest in the Lord...trust Him to show you the w

Inspired when we visited Mike and Cindy's house and I saw all her new furniture in her den, couches with all the primary colors! What fun. There kids are all off to college and life beyond, so it was time for fun and a face lift. They redid their kitchen too. She went to a seminar about collecting rainwater. We saw the gizmos she built out of trash cans enabling her gutters to run rain water straight into the containers. Then on the bottom of each trash can she had mounted spikets that you can attach the hose to. SMART!!! If we all did that we would have lower water bills! Spoke with my mom yesterday. My niece broke her foot this weekend. She is mid twenties adn this is definitely something that slows you down at any age! Prayers for healing for her...fast healing! This weekend we will gather at a new restaurant in Dallas, The Rembra
