I did the one above and a small collage of hearts on old pages of Scripture.  We sat with Patty and Bo Pilgrim and enjoyed visiting and talking about art, painting, church, airplanes etc. I think we covered a lot of territory over dinner and dancing. I am anxious to see some of Patty's artwork.  She is five years into using oils but before did portrait painting and china painting.  The Holy Spirit was at the table last night as we shared our faith through out the evening. We are heading out for New York this morning.  Housesitter/dog sitter, bird sitter in place, paintings all boxed and ready to ship. The piano piece is a new commission I just finished yesterday. So hopefully we will make Tennessee tonight... Memphis or Nashville.  I would love to make Cookeville but don't know if we will make it that far.   So this will be updated every morning before we leave and cover what we see along the way. The Thought:   Practice Practice Practice. How often did my mother tell me to do that from second grade on?  I always had my favorite songs I wanted to play and she would buy me the sheet music but I had to practice those old stuffy composers.  That is how I felt about them then.  I paint by their compositions now. Practice is something that helps us develop new habits in our lives .  When you are wanting to lose weight, you have to practice practice practice eating a bit less and exercising a bit more.  It does not happen over night.  It is simply practice practice practice.
