Arabian Gold Horse Painting, by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Arabian Gold 24 x 48 inches  Oil on Canvas SOLD It is now in the waiting and watching period where I walk by this horse painting every day.. gazing, squinting and letting it rest. I will sit and listen again to Moby and maybe to Heat... I want to feel the pulsation of the beat of the music with the racing of the horses and define the connection in the painting.   ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2012  Contact me for your own commissioned painting or to purchase this piece: Laurie      Resolution Reading is a passion with me.  Author Laura Frantz    knows I take it all pretty serious and am really picky about what I read and the style of writing.  She and  Liz Curtis Higgs  are two of my favorites as well as  Lauraine Snelling. A good book takes you from a beginning through the crises and learning period and finally to a resolution.  From Laura's Blog Jan 27, 2012 Predicting an ending is not possible when you are reading a well writt

Arabian Gold in Progress Horse Painting by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Arabian Gold in Progress 24 x 48 inches  Oil on Canvas This is zooming in close on one horse... I am using the trail of dust to insert jewel like tones. Why you ask? Because most Americans think of a desert as wasteland, heat and sand. It is not in the Middle East. Below the sands are the centuries of earth's formation of pools of oil and gas. The desert shimmers in the sunlight... tiny glass like reflections in colors... and below the real 'jewels' . The collector chose four black Arabians and wanted them to have power and strength. As I work on this horse painting, there are moments of hesitation and then the realization that going forward as I have it the only way to discover the true fabric weave of this painting. The 'soul' that makes it come to life to the viewer. ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2012  Contact me for your own commissioned painting or to purchase this piece: Laurie      One Person at a Time... perfect Harmony

Arabian Gold, Horse Painting of Four Black Arabian Horses by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Arabians in the Desert, now named Arabian Gold 24 x 48 inches Oil I am still working on this horse painting... feeling lost in all the black of the horses. I have this love affair with color in my horse paintings and it is truly difficult for my palette knife to carve out paint all in black. I want to power forth with more color.  The music from my buyer revolves around Moby. I have been to take a liking to many of their pieces.  There is also a song by Jewel, Peggy Lee and Ive Mendez. Part of my my joy is sharing the music that my collectors love, listening to it when I work on my paintings. ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2012  Contact me for your own commissioned painting or to purchase this piece: Laurie       Healing We all become wounded warriors in life. Life happens and it is not always pretty and joyful emotionally or physically.   Only the power of Christ can bring healing and perfection back to us.  We cannot allow our wounds to define

Darker foreboding colors of cold winter...almost icy in a sense. I am not sure this one is done...still debating. The Thought: Purpose and Priorities..... those are the words gelling in my brain this morning. Maybe add a third work, Purpose, Priorities and Prosperity. The Triple P's. As we are individuals; we are made with a uniqueness true to just ourselves. There is no one else like us. We are YOU-nique as I always tell my art students. When God created us, He had a purpose for us to be here. He also has a priority list of what we are here to do in our lifetime. Some of us take longer than others to get to where we are suppose to be accomplishing His list. Many times we miss the entire picture and miss our mission in life, or our purpose. If prosper
