"Rehab" Boy and Dog Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

'Rehab'
9 x 12  Oil on Canvas

I had a request to repaint this subject. I had done the original several years ago and it lives in Oklahoma.  A movie director had contacted me for use of the image so I painted another one very similar for them to use the image to make a puzzle out of it for a movie being made.

This new original painting is available to purchase.

I received my email from Neale Donald Walsh yesterday on the "continuation day".  That is the day you die... the continuation to the next journey where you are embraced by all of those who have gone before you.  When you think about it, people are born and die daily.  We all have to do it...be born and die. Life is a continuation and death is just part of that continuation.

I do believe this message came to us at the perfect time.  We know Dad (Ben) is released from his earthly pains and discomfort. He is in the arms of those he loved here on earth, his wife and son, his parents, his brothers and sisters and many of the folks he has known through out his life that preceded him in death.

Seems as I have grown older my view point of things has evolved and continued to a new place and new insight. God is great in His touch on our lives, always knowing what we need before we even have the thought in our head.  Trusting our lives to Him and to His plan does not come easy to our nature.

Yesterday when I told you to share with three people who mean something special in your life, I hope you did it. I will share mine with you....

I have three good friends that live out of state from me. The first mentioned, I know by sight (Niki) as she has come and helped me pack and move, attended my art shows and adopted me as her treasured lil sis. Niki paints as I do and has the true soul of an artist and she is the giver of the heart.   Another  friend (CL) that I want to mention, lives in another state and I have not had the opportunity to meet her in person; our relationship through phone and email has grown stronger over the years. She is the tough cookie big sis that always tell it to me straight and does not sugar coat it. Her insight into the soul sends me scampering to read more and pray openly. She reads situations well like Terry does and summarizes things and sorts them out methodically. I can always depend on her to set me straight when I am doing it wrong.   The third friend, (Jan) is a woman I knew when we lived in Trophy Club, TX. She then moved on to Arizona to be closer to her kids, but we were blessed with several years together as neighbors and she came to help me unpack from one of my moves. Jan grew up in the same religious denomination I did and in a similar family, so we had much in common. Jan is my tender sister of the heart and my prayer partner.

Always God's timing.  These three women are TREASURES in my life. They are gifts from Him. Their constant presence in my life has brought joy, guidance, empathy, laughter, wisdom and love.  They are sisters of my heart and I want them each to know they have touched my life forever and in very positive ways.  They are full of grace, beauty, wisdom, kindness and love... and have led by example through out their lives.  I am richly blessed with them in my life and their gifts surround me always.

I am off to walk... may your day be filled with abundance....

“And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ,”- Philippians 1:9-10

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...

The Marsh... of our lives? Walking with God.

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 The Marsh 6 x 12 inches Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   I did two of these paintings about three years ago. They both sold immediately to a Florida Collector. Simple and elegant for a horse painting.  Ephesians 5:1-2 "Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma."  One of the biggest challenges in walking with God is trusting Him and not trying to out think Him or to do everything your way. It never works.  The Apostle Paul wrote of his own struggles in Romans 7 .  Romans 7: 22-23 “ So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the ...
