I am tired. Spent 18 straight hours on the computer yesterday, no painting, but I did update the www.ArtistsofTexas.org website. We have several new members and I revamped our membership pages etc.  We have a huge show coming up in Dallas at the Dutch Art Gallery that opens November 2nd through December 31st, with an artist reception on November 6th.  Meet all of the artists from 1-5 in the afternoon.   I still have to update the slide show on the front page.  That takes a day by itself.

Stop by and see our new members and welcome them!

So there is not much to blog about, oh it did rain at last. We had a good 45 minute rain early evening last night.  It will take much more of that for our little pond to rejuvenate.  I was in the midst of uploading the site (of course) as the storm came through...and I prayed hard not to lose power. Nothing like wiping out a site and be uploading a new version of it and have the power go out.  It was all in vain as I realized a site error and was back reworking it for another three hours just to upload it again.
God, if you are listening, I am getting the patience lesson. I did not loose it one time!  Today I have to ship out four paintings and then I AM GOING TO PAINT!
So I leave you this morning with just a warm embrace to start the day and look for the positive. Be patient if you have to 'reload' during the day.  God has His reasons.

I love this painting. The colors and the loose, free brushstrokes are beautiful.

Sunlit Bowl

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Sunlit Bowl Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   A Painting of soft pink and white flowers   created in 2013 brings back memories of living at Lake Cypress Springs. I loved it there. It did not love me!  Mold was my downfall.  I was prolific at painting there with my studio looking over the waters of a large catfish pond and Lake Cypress Springs. The mold pushed us back to DRY Dallas.  God guides our path today.  Memories are flooding in with the morning sun.  Proverbs 4:18    “ The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”  Today will be over 100 degrees but by Saturday the high is 79. Weather is the main talk these days. Remember I am in Texas.   We heard they may get snow in the Ohio River Valley. We are to see storms from the Pacific Hurricane coming our directio...
A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...
