“Prayer is not asking. Prayer is putting oneself in the hands of God, at His disposition, and listening to His voice in the depth of our hearts.” ― Mother Teresa

We are coming upon the start of Advent of the Christmas Season. on the 29th of November is the first Sunday of Advent.  In preparation of a healthier mindset, I have decided to steer pretty clear of engaging in anything but this season of Hope and Prayer.

Yesterday I woke up early.  Sunday mornings I would rather sleep in a bit past 5 am! I decided to grab my ipad and listen to Pastor Morris' message from Saturday Church at Gateway, Southlake, Texas.  I do believe his sermon was meant to stir us into preparing our heart for what was ahead, both for advent as well as the situations growing violent through our nation and the new allegations of voter fraud.

As a teacher, I find it appalling it that any one would think 'cheating' is acceptable. When it comes to voter fraud, I am positive it has been going on forever. Man is far from perfect. Taking in the past four years, I have found in our household, we have had to turn off all mainstream media. For almost every single day, the news is filled with trauma, drama and death. Party against Party, neighbor against neighbor, family against family... and why?  Pastor Morris addresses this and so much more.

This past week, Morris sent out a blanket email to the membership covering hope and prayer.  Included were some simple points.
  • Pray for all of our leaders, local, state and nationally. Include judges in those prayers that they and all the leaders move forward in their commitments to us, the American People, to do their job with integrity and honesty and to  do what is right for the American people following the constitution.
  • In this current status of facing voter fraud on a large scale, we must pray for all truth to be revealed and for righteousness to prevail throughout our country. Party does not matter here, it is our constitutional right to a protected free vote in our elections, not to be changed or taken from us.
  • Covid 19 has affected the entire world. We must pray for the world and this pandemic... for the completion of a vaccine and for alternative methods of successful treatments.  With this we need to cover with prayer all those infected and battling the virus.  We shall rest in the Father and not in the fear.
  • We all live in communities. We need to pray for our own and those around us. We need to gather in commitment with prayer to do away with bullying, social injustice, and for wisdom and protection of our law enforcement. We walk a common path wanting a life of freedom, freedom of faith, freedom from over reaching government in our lives and all the rights protected by our constitution.
  • Lastly, we must pray for America. May the Father God bless our country, her citizens, leaders and our immigrants. It is only here in the United States of America that we have celebrated, protected and cherished our liberty and freedom over 240 years. It is easy to google and see the charts. (USA, Switzerland 171 yrs, New Zealand 162 years, Canada 152 years, United Kingdom 134 years etc.)
Robert Morris shared a statistic showing 36 percent of young adults want socialism. Of that group, 98 percent of those young adults could not define what socialism is and how it would change their lives.  Morris pointed out the most clear part, you simply cannot own anything. Not a home, a car, a cell phone etc. You will pay 55% of your income in taxes to the government. From this you will gain free college (if you test out smart) and free medical.  But, no home, no car, no phone, .... and basically no future or freedom. The government controls everything, including you.

My mother brought us up to keep our eyes on God. We were not to allow fear or anger to take over in our lives. If you stay close to God in prayer, there is no room for ugliness, fear or violence.  Will you walk with me in His light? I am praying we can reunite our nation together under the original truth and principles it was founded upon.  All my life honesty, integrity, liberty and more freedoms filled through out our days.  We must pray to keep God in our country and NOT to be a negative person through out the weeks ahead. Turn off all social media and tune out on the news. Our only peace lies in holding on to the hope He has promised us and keeping our prayers lifted up to Him.  If we are to walk through that 'valley of death', the Lord God walks before and he walks with us.  We will cross it all together.

Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. “Make level paths for your feet,” so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed. Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many..." Hebrews 12: 12-15

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...

The Marsh... of our lives? Walking with God.

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 The Marsh 6 x 12 inches Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   I did two of these paintings about three years ago. They both sold immediately to a Florida Collector. Simple and elegant for a horse painting.  Ephesians 5:1-2 "Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma."  One of the biggest challenges in walking with God is trusting Him and not trying to out think Him or to do everything your way. It never works.  The Apostle Paul wrote of his own struggles in Romans 7 .  Romans 7: 22-23 “ So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the ...
