COLOR COLOR COLOR... it meets you coming at you with brilliant yellows and vivid reds in this contemporary abstract horse painting! Painted in my Golden Pond Studio in 2010, I am revisiting the heat wave months of Texas right now.  The horses are painted with a pulled palette knife. I love giving each horse their own contemporary look with different colors, so none of the them look the same. I believe this was a commissioned painting but not for sure. Most of these were painted as commissions at this point because I did not want o flood the market and it allowed me the ability to work with colors the buyer loved.  Commissions are welcome right now. Terry's hands!

When we go to bed each night, Terry and I share our evening prayers together and it is at this time, we pray for those we know that have a specific need; we pray for the oldest standing three family members that are 90 plus in our family. We pray for our siblings and their spouses and children AND we pray for our three children, their spouses and each grandchild.  We pray for our leaders, our military and specifically for those in our family in the military and for some of friends with family in the military. We will pray for global needs, local needs, and our nation's needs. At the end of our prayer, Terry prays over me and I pray over him.  (We pray together at every meal... but through out the day we pray on our own.)

Intercessory prayer is a powerful and profound act of supplication to the Lord, standing on behalf of others in their time of need. Should you or I pray for the needs of others? It is truly an unselfish expression of love and we learned it from God.

PRAY FOR OUR NATION

By praying for others, for our nation, and for events around the world, our prayers often reflect God's own giving of His outgoing love and mercy.  We are made in His image, and thereby praying for others moves us beyond "the all about me prayers". We learn to grow in compassion and offer empathy to all sojourners here on earth.

Pray for One Another

In the Bible, God has left His instructions for us to pray for others. James 5:16 "Pray for one another, that you may be healed."

Pray for your Enemies

Ephesians 6: 18-20 "praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains." (Paul)

In our world today, there is as much love as there is violence.  Jesus Christ commanded "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you. ” Matthew 5:44

Lift your Voice in Prayer

Lift others up in prayer and affirm their worth and ask God to cover them in solace, healing and hope. Pray for those you know and love, and pray for those you have never met. As a Christian family, we support each other through prayers and action. We support our family friends, our leaders and those we do not even know. Often this is found around the world when we see disasters striking and the trials others face in their homes and countries.

“ For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.  I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe." Ephesians 1: 15-19

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...

The Marsh... of our lives? Walking with God.

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 The Marsh 6 x 12 inches Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   I did two of these paintings about three years ago. They both sold immediately to a Florida Collector. Simple and elegant for a horse painting.  Ephesians 5:1-2 "Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma."  One of the biggest challenges in walking with God is trusting Him and not trying to out think Him or to do everything your way. It never works.  The Apostle Paul wrote of his own struggles in Romans 7 .  Romans 7: 22-23 “ So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the ...
