She is less abrasive and not so quick to make decisions without thought or research. Face within.  What does that mean?  Faces are funny in so many ways. We often wear them as a mask so others do not know our thoughts, our insecurities, or even our reactions. When do we lower the mask? In this journey on this figurative painting,  I was repurposing a canvas with a prior painting on it.  There are two faces in this piece.  Hence the name, Face Within.  I do believe we all hide a huge portion of who we are in our heart as well as our feelings of insecurity and worry.  Always look at the eyes. The original sketch did not work at all... resulting in me wiping the canvas as clean as I could. Then came sketching a new face that might work. I seem to exist between the two.  I did complete the paintings for the new show opening at Mirada Fine Art this next month in Colorado! I promise to share photos as soon as I can.  I am preparing to paint another large piece and probably a face again.    Meanwhile, I just completed a horse on birch above.  My studio does not call me as often as it did.
