Every painting has a journey. This one was a struggle in many ways.  It began totally different than it turned out. The original sketch did not work at all... resulting in me wiping the canvas as clean as I could. Then came sketching a new face that might work. Below are a few progress shots.  I have been a brown eyed girl my entire life. As I aged past sixty, I found a lighter amber and some green in my brown eyes!  Hence I sought such beauty in the eyes of this face.  



But the close ups are amazing once the piece began to come together!  Each of us as a human being walking this earth go through the valleys and climb the mountains and experience life in so many ways that is molds us and creates in us a deeper being and soul.  This is true painting on a canvas as well.  The longer you work and seek level... the deeper the experience and journey is creating the painting.

Arrival...Refrigerator?

Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...

The Marsh... of our lives? Walking with God.

They both sold immediately to a Florida Collector.
