Wiping out a painting in progress with pastel colors... opposite my normal palette.

It was a wipeout. You saw it before as a horse running toward you in blues and greens.  It was not working. It has hung in the studio for three months and I could not move it to the easel. Something was not right... So I grabbed a brush and color and covered it. I am debating horses running or a woman.... Quite a distance in choice.



I am better and back in the studio. Shipping some things to my gallery in Santa Fe tomorrow. You can read more about what has had me down on my website blog. Hubby and I both had something that took over 6 weeks to resolve. My faith and trust in God is what got me through this. Appreciate your patience and your prayers.   Elle

Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Gathering... The Good People are Gathering. Figurative Palette Knife Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace
