Crossing the County Line
Oil on Canvas  SOLD  by Laurie Pace

There are lines everywhere in life.

State lines.
County lines.
Traffic lanes.
Rules.
Schedules.
Boundaries.

Sometimes it feels as though everything is telling us where to go and where not to go.  Looking again at my painting Crossing the County Line, I realized those feelings had found their way onto the canvas years ago.
The horses live among lines, shapes and divisions, yet they seem to be searching for open space.

Maybe we are sometimes doing the same thing.

I remember the freedom of our years living at the lake—the woods, the stars, the quiet and simply having room to breathe. Today I am learning that freedom isn't always about changing where we live.

Sometimes it is about finding that open place within ourselves again and trusting God to lead us from there.

The Lord is here.  And there is still room to run. Elle

Sunlit Bowl

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Sunlit Bowl Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   A Painting of soft pink and white flowers   created in 2013 brings back memories of living at Lake Cypress Springs. I loved it there. It did not love me!  Mold was my downfall.  I was prolific at painting there with my studio looking over the waters of a large catfish pond and Lake Cypress Springs. The mold pushed us back to DRY Dallas.  God guides our path today.  Memories are flooding in with the morning sun.  Proverbs 4:18    “ The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”  Today will be over 100 degrees but by Saturday the high is 79. Weather is the main talk these days. Remember I am in Texas.   We heard they may get snow in the Ohio River Valley. We are to see storms from the Pacific Hurricane coming our directio...
A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...
