The Painting: I am only doing about three to four paintings a week now. Some of my "fill in" postings are from earlier years, but this one is a fresh new one and I only finished it last night. I Sold it today already. It is layers and layers of Acrylic overlays. Then a finish three layers of varnish to seal it. Unusual for me as the painting has a dark background, based in grays and blacks. Most likely very collectible because it is so different.
The Thought: Not sure at all why I chose black and grey as I began to work this canvas.
We all have times that bring us to our knees. There are always disturbing experiences in our lives. It is during those we need to seek a place the find peace. That place is with God. Just as when you are tense, you stop and inhale a deep lungful of air. Holding it you feel your lungs expand tightly...and then you begin to release the air slowly. These actions slow the rate of your heart and masses of oxygen spill out into your blood. You begin to feel a calming sense fill your mind and body as you begin to relax. Do it again and again and again as you begin to fill your inner self strengthen with God's great peace.
Now you can go back to where you were and find kind words and actions of love to help others, including those involved in the disturbances. Lead the way and set the example.
This was from our trip to Whole Foods yesterday, Bampa and Tink in the produce section. Her daddy instructed her to check out the Mangos...and she did.
Later yesterday Grandpa Ben stopped by for some Tink time...
