Beginnings of a new abstract painting by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Beginnings
It's a gift for Nick and Family
so it is sold... a contemporary slant with three 24 x 24 canvas.
As I begin to work on this I keep in mind three very loved children, Elijah, Daiden and Mason.

Watch this piece evolve.

WINNER:  I was REALLY surprised with the winner. There were over 40 entries for this small painting but so many awesome emails that came with each entry. Sheriff Paul was running from one event to the other so I had to have him choose a number between 1 and 40 and the list of how the entries arrived were on my excel sheet. He choose the number 12 and the 12th person to write me was one that brought so much joy to me this week, Amber Marie Jones.  I had heard from her earlier in the month as she was doing a school project on artists and had chosen my work. (BTW, she is from the UK) I will be sending her BLUE horse for her room... God is truly awesome!

Here was her email:

Hello I just wanted to ask you if you could please put me in to win the painting as I'm a huge fan and for my art gcse I have chosen you as one of my artists and I also did a copy of one of your paintings but gave you the credit and I just said I painted it and If I won the painting I would be amazed as I'm in love with art its my world and I want to decorate my room to represent me and what I love, I attached a file with the painting I finished and one I'm yet to I hope you like them.

Focus on what you have in life...

We seem to be a society of "gotta have it" or "need a".  Our brain seems overwhelmed with what we do not have that we truly believe we need and we become obsessed with it until we 'get it'.

Retrain your thought patterns and stop them when you drift into the 'gotta have it' realm, you will find a peace beyond belief.  Take a deep breath in and slowly let it out. With each breath express thanks with love for the things you already have in your life.  Give gratitude to the Father for these things. Keep breathing in and out. Praise Him and know that many opportunities are ahead for you in His plan.

Instead of allowing apprehension into your life with worry, allow appreciation to fill you with enthusiasm.  Use the simple mantra, "Thank you Lord" through out the day as if sharing it with everyone...and the response back will be overwhelming from the Lord.  "You are welcome my child."

Words of my heart, Laurie

"Bless the Lord, O my Soul, and all that is within me." Psalm 103:1

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
