“I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind to reward a man according to his conduct according to what his deed deserve.” Jeremiah 17:18
Bible Trivia.
The bible has over 700 references to the heart.
The most significant references involve the heart representing a person’s will or desires. God wants people to love Him with all of their heart. God knows all the secrets of your heart. God’s law must be in your heart. Man is to be pure of heart and our actions and speech every day mirror our hearts. The heart guides us at all times, but the heart can be wrong if it is not guided by God’s word. If you stray from God, He wants you to return to Him with all of your heart.
One of my sources referred to the Bible consisting of four elements of heart. The first is the heart of emotion.
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.” John 14:1
The second is the heart of will.
“From what you have, take an offering for the Lord. Everyone who is willing is to bring to the Lord an offering of gold, silver and bronze;” Exodus 35:5
The third is the heart of intellect.
“He has blinded their eyes and deadened their hearts, so they can neither see with their eyes, nor understand with their hearts, nor turn – and I would heal them.” John 12:40
And the last is the conscience.
“When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other Apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”
Acts2:37
Acts2:37
Jesus reminds us:
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Luke 12:34

“As He looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. “I tell you the truth,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.” Luke 21:1-4
