Arabian Gold in Progress Horse Painting by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Arabian Gold in Progress
24 x 48 inches  Oil on Canvas

This is zooming in close on one horse... I am using the trail of dust to insert jewel like tones. Why you ask? Because most Americans think of a desert as wasteland, heat and sand. It is not in the Middle East. Below the sands are the centuries of earth's formation of pools of oil and gas. The desert shimmers in the sunlight... tiny glass like reflections in colors... and below the real 'jewels' . The collector chose four black Arabians and wanted them to have power and strength. As I work on this horse painting, there are moments of hesitation and then the realization that going forward as I have it the only way to discover the true fabric weave of this painting. The 'soul' that makes it come to life to the viewer.

One Person at a Time... perfect Harmony

Must be the week of old camp songs.  Harmony, love and life. How does it all work in the world we live in?  One person at a time.

Remember the old Coca Cola song?

I am NOT promoting soft drinks. We have never kept them in the house except for company, but this commercial awakened the power of the sixties and seventies of make love not war.  My children sang this song. My Mother sang this song. I did not know anyone that did not know the song...

The true essence is the gathering of people (here for coke) but in harmony...living lives in harmony.  One person passes it on to the next and then there are two. The two each pass it on and then there are four. Exponentially it spreads through a community with joy and and harmony lighting the way.  No one is left in the dark. No one can be disconnected from the power... as it comes from one person to the next. No one will be skipped.

We are all members of one family...we all live here on earth and we must learn to unite in harmony.

Words of my heart, Laurie

"You shall also love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt." Deuteronomy 10:19

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
