Early Sunflowers
Oil on Canvas  SOLD  by Laurie Pace

This Painting of Sunflowers is by far one of my favorite. It reminds me of my grandmother's farm in Florissant MO. I have written before describing the inner circle of flowers in the circular dirt drive. As a toddler most of the flowers were as tall as I was.  There was always a mist every morning at the farm when we woke up around 6 a.m.  Morning is always good!

Genesis 19:27 "And Abraham went early in the morning to the place he had stood before the Lord. "

There are places in your heart and home that you have retreated to fall upon your knees and pray and cry out to the Lord. Our lives are all complicated and busy and things come up that we have to make hard decisions. What do you do, when you cannot decide on a direction? This verse in the Bible is referring to Abraham rising and looking in a distance toward the towns of Sodom and Gomorrah.  What did he see?  He saw thick smoke, like you would from a furnace. God had destroyed those two towns, referred to as the Cities of the Plain... and because the Lord loved Abraham, he spared his brother's son, Lot and his immediately family. Both he and his two daughters survived as they were led by angels away from the cities. His wife was with them as they left,  but she turned back to look at the evil town going up in smoke and instantly became a pillar of salt.

This entire chapter is a very dramatic violent shocking chapter in Genesis. The people living in Sodom were evil and had no honor or beliefs in God. God give grace to Abraham in literally rescuing Lot and his family from this city before He destroyed it.  It gives you a deep breath of relief most mornings your prayers are not pleading for safe passage or life in a war zone. Most of us known not what has happened in war to the people of the Ukraine and in many other places in this world. China would be another one.  You cannot worship God there, they control every citizen on just about every action in their lives.

Go to God each morning, you can pray before you get up out of bed or you can get up and sit in your favorite chair with the Bible in hand. I have several things I read each day, one is Streams of the Desert (App is great) and another app called Inspirations, which is a Bible verse and small reading.  The Streams App has a morning and evening prayer in it. Sometimes I read through it, but usually I simple pray from my heart reaching out to God our Father.  Elle

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
