Good morning from Texas!  Two trees equals one horse! This is an incredibly strong horse painting that I did at my Lake Studio "Golden Pond Studio back in 2012. It began as a tree painting called "Rooted". (See Below) I love trees probably more than horses...but it was horses the Lord called me to paint for the past twenty five years.  I started and finished the trees on this 40 x 40 canvas, but something did not feel right...    I loved the branches and the green but the ground not so much.   The paint was oil and still wet in the morning and I spent till after lunch debating, and the Horse won. (See the photo below at my sign off below is of the scraped paint.)

The painting was finished that night and I put it up on my website and it sold in less than 24 hours. They had to wait until the paint was cured enough to ship. The strength of the double roots on the bottom left and the swing up of the right hand tree set my knife in motion. When I paint like this it is creativity from the deepest part of my journey as I allow the spirit of the paint to move throughout the canvas.

1 Peter 2:24  “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.

This is a powerful verse this morning especially during Lent for our Christian faith.  The years of life have been rich with both good and with challenges. God has seen me through all of it and even today, with the last three years now of two deaths and an illness in our family, I seek Him and rest in Him. He is my Father. I am His child.  At the ballpark Saturday night I watched young teen girls racing through to the food court with huge smiles of anticipation.  We are to live each day in our faith with this same truth that we live in the presence of the Lord. There will always be challenges and storms, and I leave you with a phrase out of a poem.   Elle

Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
