At the Table
by Laurie Pace
Growing older brings changes—some we welcome and some we certainly don't.
But every morning Terry and I still sit at our kitchen table over oatmeal and bananas and play two games of Chinese Checkers. We are fairly evenly matched. Our strategies? Not so much. 😊
This morning those colorful marbles reminded me that perhaps growing older isn't about desperately trying to remain young.
It is about remaining open to life.
Walk. Read. Laugh. Call someone you love. Eat your favorite breakfast. Wear something that makes you feel good.
And every now and then, forget the chores for a few minutes and play.
Isaiah 46:4 reminds us that even into old age and gray hairs, God is still the One who carries us.
Today is another day we have been given.
Enjoy it. Elle
