Red Moon Rising
Oil on Canvas SOLD by Laurie Pace
Several years ago, while living at the lake, I stood in my studio and watched the Red Moon rise across the water. I thought I was simply gathering inspiration for a painting.
Looking back now, I believe God was quietly preparing my heart for seasons I had not yet imagined.
Life moves through seasons.
Childhood. Marriage. Family. Career. Loss.
Healing. Death. Renewal.
Some chapters are filled with celebration. Others seem impossible to understand while we're living them. Yet Scripture reminds us that God is faithful through every one of them.
"The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps." — Proverbs 16:9
This past week something changed in my studio. For the first time in a long while, I felt the freedom to simply paint again.
Not forcing. Not striving. Just trusting.
Yesterday someone from my church shared one of these recent blogs and wrote how God had used those words to encourage her own journey through grief and healing.
It reminded me that God often uses our hardest seasons to comfort someone else. Maybe renewal doesn't mean going back.
Maybe it means allowing God to lead us faithfully into what comes next.
"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart..."Ecclesiastes 3:11
