Sometimes an old book becomes more than a collection of paintings.

This morning I opened Treasures of the Heart, a book I created years ago, and found myself remembering not just the artwork, but the joy of discovering new subjects and telling stories through paint.

It reminded me that every season of life shapes an artist, and every painting becomes part of that journey.

Today, I'm heading back to the studio with a grateful heart and a fresh canvas waiting.  Elle

I loved it there. It did not love me!  Mold was my downfall.  I was prolific at painting there with my studio looking over the waters of a large catfish pond and Lake Cypress Springs. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Gathering... The Good People are Gathering. Figurative Palette Knife Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace
