HORSE 58 2012
Oil on Canvas  SOLD  by Laurie Pace

Each summer morning in 2011 and 2012, I would rise, make breakfast, clean up and hit the studio painting each day.  100 horses in 100 days for $100.  Really crazy as I could do one 48 x 48 painting and make the same amount!

I was crazy enough to do it for two years. But it was actually fun when I had the space and place to pull it off!  FOR the full story of this painting, Visit my website blog to see read about these paintings and get all the details here.

Was it really fun? How did I manage things? This process was something that kept me painting and on the raw edge of creativity.  I wish I could do it now!  Hard to do using oils but they work better. Should I do it again?  Email me from my website and let me know.   If 100 or more let me know, .... maybe I will take the challenge. Trying to get oils to dry is a huge challenge!  Sing this To the tune of Summer Nights from the musical Grease.
"Summer lovin... had me some fun.  Painting Horses all on the run.   I have a knife special to me, and awesome paints waiting to be..... Summer Horses each day to appear... which one is yours you want to keep near?"

Sunlit Bowl

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Sunlit Bowl Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   A Painting of soft pink and white flowers   created in 2013 brings back memories of living at Lake Cypress Springs. I loved it there. It did not love me!  Mold was my downfall.  I was prolific at painting there with my studio looking over the waters of a large catfish pond and Lake Cypress Springs. The mold pushed us back to DRY Dallas.  God guides our path today.  Memories are flooding in with the morning sun.  Proverbs 4:18    “ The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”  Today will be over 100 degrees but by Saturday the high is 79. Weather is the main talk these days. Remember I am in Texas.   We heard they may get snow in the Ohio River Valley. We are to see storms from the Pacific Hurricane coming our directio...
A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...
