Good morning... Exciting news coming I think!!! But I have to wait to share it.  More art, more paintings and lots of knife work and color!  

Romans 12:2 - "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."

Sunday evening and I spent this afternoon pulling out 7 or 8 canvas that I will begin painting on tomorrow.  I will share as I can. I am going to pull my easel outside to the patio and paint out there. Will not be warm enough till 10 or so in the morning but we have a bit of summer hitting for the next 5-6 days and I want to be outside. The leaves will be turning soon and we will have piles of beautiful mess in the backyard and a lot of acorns from the red oak trees and the burr oak tree.  Bad part is the dog likes to eat them and they are not good for him. He was born up north and roamed several acres as a puppy with his mom and siblings.   We will see.  Promise to be back.  House is still torn up.  Hubby is working hard and there is construction wiping out the entire den, kitchen and breakfast area.  I may turn that eating area over to painting area this winter!  I love seeing our incredible back yard. 

Stay warm and stay safe. With Day Light Savings... I am already tired and it is only 5 pm... yesterday's 4pm.. right? I stay confused with it all.  Elle

That poor little 8 x 10 pony was loved by a company to do very large prints and it was not here for me to even use to scan... so I created something with the same heart, a kindred spirit. The underlays are pages from a western book and then torn papers of different varieties were added along with stains of paint and purposeful areas of paint.  This would not be a painting I would do today, but the goal was to capture the spirit of the first painting. We lost another dear family member this week. She has celebrated her 'continuation' day and is now with her mom and dad and her other cousins.  She leaves behind a family that will always celebrate her gentleness.  My aunt was special to all of us. She loved each of us dearly for who we were and was always ready with a hug or a 'good job'.    My memories are of breakfast pastries smeared with butter on top. It was not like they were not sweet enough as they were, but at her small kitch...
