 Red Horse is a simple painting that I have always loved. I believe I shall do one similar in style to this just to loosen up again. I am working on a commissioned painting 3 x 4 ft right now and it is still all over the canvas!!!

When I am painting and over controlling and not allowing the my knife to create and move like a lost brush dragging the paint... things rarely turn out right. That is why it is impossible to try to control the painting until I am almost done with it. Then the wild sweeps of paint begin to change. sprinkle of rain and some wind. Praying for all friends and rough storms and loss of power.  The weekend is here. I probably will not post this weekend.  Be safe and enjoy the oncoming of fall! Elle

I loved it there. It did not love me!  Mold was my downfall.  I was prolific at painting there with my studio looking over the waters of a large catfish pond and Lake Cypress Springs. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Gathering... The Good People are Gathering. Figurative Palette Knife Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace
