This is one of the best expressions with my knife and thick paint piling high.  I say that because there is a before and after and I continue past where I was in this horse painting. You can see there is not any thing reaching out with colors except the movement of gold yellow on the top of the head into the neck. I love it when I see one with photos of before... NOPE... not done and the final painting above carrying through to add color.

This morning I am going with my daughter and granddaughter to watch our second oldest grandson compete in swimming for special olympics.  Hubby will stay here as we have Ecosafe coming to deal with the ants in the yard.  I cannot wait to see how well this grandson swims.  He has been swimming since he was about 3 years old.  He will be 13 next birthday! Growing up too fast!

We lost another dear family member this week. She has celebrated her 'continuation' day and is now with her mom and dad and her other cousins.  She leaves behind a family that will always celebrate her gentleness.  My aunt was special to all of us. She loved each of us dearly for who we were and was always ready with a hug or a 'good job'.    My memories are of breakfast pastries smeared with butter on top.
