LOVING the Palette knife movement in Summer Horse Painting 17.  Truly this is totally inspiring me to start painting some tiny pieces again.   

Isaiah 46: 9: "Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me."

There is no other than our Almighty God. I could not get through a day or a night without Him.

It has been a busy week... and lots of rain. We have a hot humid sunny day ahead.   I told Hubby he could not work in the yard.  Here in Texas you have to work early mornings before that sun really gets up mid morning sky.

I am continuing in my BLOOM class with Nicolas Wilton and thousands of others... and oh my ... I PAINTED a pink painting yesterday. That is probably a first. 

Pink... I cannot believe I painted pink.  I pick out three colors and I stopped at this point. I really love it.   These are in a book and I am painting across pages. Maybe one day the book of these pieces will be enjoyed by my grandchildren and great grandchildren. God has certainly guided me through this creation of an art legacy of work.  Thanks be to Him and to everyone that follows. Elle

That poor little 8 x 10 pony was loved by a company to do very large prints and it was not here for me to even use to scan... so I created something with the same heart, a kindred spirit. The underlays are pages from a western book and then torn papers of different varieties were added along with stains of paint and purposeful areas of paint.  This would not be a painting I would do today, but the goal was to capture the spirit of the first painting. We lost another dear family member this week. She has celebrated her 'continuation' day and is now with her mom and dad and her other cousins.  She leaves behind a family that will always celebrate her gentleness.  My aunt was special to all of us. She loved each of us dearly for who we were and was always ready with a hug or a 'good job'.    My memories are of breakfast pastries smeared with butter on top. It was not like they were not sweet enough as they were, but at her small kitch...
