Seven at Sunrise with 12 Days of Christmas Ahead

It is now time to think of give-aways. 


Normally I do it after Christmas, the traditional 12 Days... but I am doing it from tomorrow the 13th of December through Christmas Day. You can only win once and there are only 12 winners. I have done this every year and was not going to do it and changed my mind today! 

Also above is Seven at Sunrise, ready to ship for a special gift if you are still buying for the holidays. It is one of my collected Painted Ponies with my piles of paint and thick edges and build up!  Available for purchase. 

We are at the edge of fall and into winter in the next few days. Felt like 26 this morning when we walked the dog! Then at lunch it was 56 and felt like 42. 

It's Beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!

That poor little 8 x 10 pony was loved by a company to do very large prints and it was not here for me to even use to scan... so I created something with the same heart, a kindred spirit. The underlays are pages from a western book and then torn papers of different varieties were added along with stains of paint and purposeful areas of paint.  This would not be a painting I would do today, but the goal was to capture the spirit of the first painting. We lost another dear family member this week. She has celebrated her 'continuation' day and is now with her mom and dad and her other cousins.  She leaves behind a family that will always celebrate her gentleness.  My aunt was special to all of us. She loved each of us dearly for who we were and was always ready with a hug or a 'good job'.    My memories are of breakfast pastries smeared with butter on top. It was not like they were not sweet enough as they were, but at her small kitch...
