Path Though the Trees Ahead…Laurie Pace, a Texas Artist

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 The Path Ahead Beneath the Trees.  by Laurie Pace     Trees have always been part of my life. I am a tree hugger from way back. I have two small paintings finished and three more drawn out to be painted. You have to be patient to watch a tree bloom and grow.  Shop other Available Artwork.  Sign up for my quarterly newsletter and painting sales. Nahum 1:7 The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who take refuge in him.  Deut 2:31 “ I have begun to give;….begin to posses.”  If we are waiting for God’s guidance or a ‘ Telegram’ from God, we are not exercising pure faith. Pure faith is ready when trusting God is without any doubts or worries . Through out the Bible there is much said about waiting on the Lord.  It is easy to grow weary of waiting… and we struggle to understand why we are waiting…and waiting. The delays seem monumental.   My right arm has been unusable si

Gathering, how to begin each day.

The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. Waiting.  Waiting. Waiting.  Do you ever feel like you spend a lot of time waiting on something or someone?  When we are caught up in life gathering, busily lining the ducks up in a row, we stop when we realize a few ducks got away…while we were busy putting the first group of Quackers  in place.  (almost makes me tired and stressed typing this…) Will the first group you lined up ‘stay’ there? Or, did they disappear when you turned around to get the others?  We are all quite the busy bodies…either online, which is not healthy. Or doing our own  ‘Thing’ each day.  Throughout  life our personal patterns shift, our friends may shift closer to us, or may m

Human nature seems to call us to jump into situations that might be avoided. In today’s world, our lifestyles have changed and we are confronted on every side with demand, action, and intensity. Rare is a moment of peace and quiet. Rare is a moment spent in prayer. Action seems to be the verb of the century.   With the constant distractions pulling us away from our thoughts and activities, it is no wonder we find ourselves lost through out the day. Screen time sucks life out of us. Facebook seems to be our social time scrolling and scrolling. Instagram and Tictoc ‘empower us’ to boldness to shock, share, and

This was simply a ‘oh wow’. This was from the middle of Dec through the 16th of January. Has not really been cold until last week.  Our world is changing and presently not in our favor economically. BE PATIENT  Have you ever had one of those days where you begin to doubt everything? My sweet husband works hard to keep us safe, but are we?  He decided we ought to check for gas leaks with the bill as high as it is.  I know sometimes he forgets to t

I am not ready to share yet!

I was working on this painting about two years ago. It is the granddaughter of a good friend of mine. Watching her grow up from a tiny newborn to the energetic, vibrant young girl she has become, has been a treasure.  Pulling things from the archive, I hope to be painting again in the next two months. I did paint a small piece yesterday.  5 x 7 in size, but I’m not ready to share yet .  I can just about hear God saying that, ‘ I’m not ready to share yet. ”  With all that has happened in 2023  right to this early morning moment on my blog, I can feel the Lord working on me. It was in December right before Christmas, I surrendered entirely. The studio remained literally upside down….Hubby moved my computer (I cannot use it yet …probably for another 6 weeks.) I cleared out a HUGE box of paints, inks,

Bless us in whatever experiences this day may bring to each of us. May we plant seeds of blessings to grow in the lives of others. May we have the energy to meet this day and its needs. May we not be distracted by worries. May we each enjoy every single simple quiet moment. Give us honesty and kindness living this day forward.  This beautiful horse Painting hangs in the home of one of my collectors. I was delivering two paintings to her home a week ago, and was thrilled to get to see the other pieces she had hung over the years. The one I’m sharing this morning is one of my favorites. The vivid contrasting colors combined with the horizontal movement of the horses across the water accented by the change of light at sunset, creates that feeling of the close of day, with the closing majest
