Gathering…Waiting

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.

Waiting.  Waiting. Waiting.  Do you ever feel like you spend a lot of time waiting on something or someone?

When we are caught up in life gathering, busily lining the ducks up in a row, we stop when we realize a few ducks got away…while we were busy putting the first group of Quackers  in place.  (almost makes me tired and stressed typing this…) Will the first group you lined up ‘stay’ there? Or, did they disappear when you turned around to get the others?

We are all quite the busy bodies…either online, which is not healthy. Or doing our own ‘Thing’ each day.  Throughout  life our personal patterns shift, our friends may shift closer to us, or may move away.  Our job changes, we may move to a new state, a new job, a new church…change is to be expected.

There are those mornings you want to “begin again”.  I always start out with purpose and a plan…but find myself 8 hours later behind and trying to catch up.  It is not just a focus issue, but a lack of focus. (has to be this right arm not working well!)

What are yours first thoughts as you awaken from the night? I usually am having a conversation in my head, looking at the clock, and giving thanks for what rest I received. Sometimes I am debating returning to sleep if it is too early.  This past year after my Mom died, I found myself rising between 4:30 and 5 a.m. I have several apps on the iPad for daily reading, and my Bible next to me for continued reading.  If time allows, I journal and try to write down my thoughts for use in my blog. Every morning I am convicted deeper in my faith.  This is how I began anew with my deepening journey with Jesus.

Important for me each day, is to realize God working through me in my walk and my voice, in my thoughts and continued prayers, and in my abiding and listening. It is not in my conversations with myself…but it is with my conversations with Him.

Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
