I knew something was wrong tonight when I got in the shower and I was too tired to sing. We have been involved the past three or more months with a dear family member that took a fall and things have progressed with many changes in their life and in all of ours.

Painting has not come to a full stop, just slowed down, and I promise to share this next week what I have been working on.

Why Roses in a photo?  These are roses from. my youngest son two years ago for Mother's Day. Deep red roses filled our home with a sweet fragrance.  What does this have to do with singing in the shower?  I love to sing... when I am happy, when I am sad, when I am scared...but not so much when I am tired!   First choice are all the old hymns I grew up with, they charge me in His love and  are the same ones I play with emotional enthusiasm on my baby grand.  "And the melody He gave to me within my heart is ringing"  Tonight this charges at my heart strings:

IN THE GARDEN by Charles A Miles

I come to the garden alone,
While the dew is still on the roses,
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses...
Refrain:
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.

He speaks, and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing.

I’d stay in the garden with Him,
Though the night around me be falling,
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling.

Even as tired as we both are, we do hear him calling us. We rejoice in all we have done this day, just weary from packing and sorting and driving through Dallas traffic at 5 in the afternoon. Two wrecks and we saw the second one and prayed the rest of the way home. Flipped car over a barrier, we believe hit by someone changing lanes without looking and launching this car and family in the air landing upside down in a median area. The paramedics and police were just arriving prying open the doors as we passed the opposite direction.

He called on us to pray for this family.

We never know when and how He calls to us. This song was originally written from Mary's point of view as she expresses her tremendous joy suddenly hearing and seeing her beloved Jesus and Savior just after watching his crucifixion and burial. (Mark 15:40, 47)

I feel Him around me. He knows my thoughts and actions before I do. The older I have grown, I truly realize he knows it all. Even when I start a pity party, or my thoughts go crazy with imagination the wrong direction, He calls to me.  Listen for Him this weekend. He is calling you.

“But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine." Isaiah 43:1

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...

The Marsh... of our lives? Walking with God.

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 The Marsh 6 x 12 inches Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   I did two of these paintings about three years ago. They both sold immediately to a Florida Collector. Simple and elegant for a horse painting.  Ephesians 5:1-2 "Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma."  One of the biggest challenges in walking with God is trusting Him and not trying to out think Him or to do everything your way. It never works.  The Apostle Paul wrote of his own struggles in Romans 7 .  Romans 7: 22-23 “ So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the ...
