Cypress Watering Hole
“They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for.” Tom Bodett
Right now our life is full and we are so busy and blessed. On one side we live right in the midst of our grandchildren and their families. On the flip side we miss east Texas and the lake and our friends.
We took steps to joining a new church that is a new campus of a larger church, and we feel really blessed by this decision to go and visit and get to know the people that call it their home. It meets at a Marriott in the conference rooms right now as they are so newly established, there is no land purchased yet or site built. Getting in at the beginning here has been a blessing. The men and women we have meet welcomed us like old friends. (I am smiling as I am typing!)
This week was full of much happening with our extended families. One of them has had some bug they are sharing around with sinus, coughing and sore throats. Hard to see your grandchildren so miserable and my heart hurts for our daughter trying to stay well amongst the illness which took her hubby down too. Our eldest son's family has battled a cold passing it around between them all, including the five month old. Our son left for a business meeting this week out of town and his super supportive wife was left to juggle the baby and a very very active 6 year old all with colds. They live too far from us to help much, but we have been in prayer. The youngest son and his family have stayed well so far.
We have someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for.
“So may all your enemies perish, LORD! But may all who love you be like the sun when it rises in its strength.” Then the land had peace forty years." Judges 5:31
