“Only the phoenix rises and does not descend. And everything changes. And nothing is truly lost.” Neil Gaiman  THE WAKE

So the very end of January, my new studio pup arrived. Terry flew to Florida and picked her up. Also bought a second one from Seattle... yes, you heard right. TWO.  The Seattle baby is older than the Florida baby.  Her name is Starla.   The Florida pup is named "Annie" as a call name, but officially she is Pace's Queen Aslaug of the Low Country.

Starla is with our grandson Mark, who just turned five...right now and we are working on training Annie since she is younger by 2.5 months. Both dogs are going through Training.  We are still struggling with night time issues and potty problems in the crate. We had so much rain the middle of Feb. It was not just rain, but SLEET and ICE...and cold RAIN.  Puppy was not found of the weather coming from Georgia/Florida.  Up until the first week in Feb, Terry and I were both up by five to walk her outside. I bundled up in temps in the teens and we walked.  But by the 5th of Feb, I was down bad with Flu B.  Terry kept it all up weather permitting but the icy rain hit for 10 days in a row and there was very little walking or exercise.  Finally the weather broke last weekend...but here midweek.. more rain. We are thankful it is not cold icy rain.  ( Please share any ideas on how to get around the messy crate at night. She did not do this the first month she was here...only the past 2 weeks starting from the rains.)

Meet Annie... a beautiful Kerry Blue Terrier.  In this photo she is 19 weeks old.

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged.  For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.  “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?  How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye." Matthew 7: 1-5

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
