Ouch. Most mornings the moment I wake, I am offering up prayers for the night of rest and the day to come. BUT, there is always the days that I am rushed and jump up without taking that time.  Terry and I spend time in the word each morning at breakfast, and the past three mornings we have been doing it but not as deeply as normal.  I can tell the difference. I can feel the difference.  

With the new year I have been working on memorizing some of my favorite verses.  The catch is my age and lack of brain power to retain it!  But with concentration and repetition, it actually works.  God is now part of my day all day as I repeat my verses and think about them. I actually begin to apply them to what is happening around me during the day.  It is our Father that keeps me in first place, always in his safety and his love.

Arrival...Refrigerator?

Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
